The ongoing endeavor to create functional and beautiful amenities in downtown Rogers reached a major milestone last Saturday with the grand opening of The Railyard Bike Park. And while there are many areas of the park that will cater specifically to cyclists, the overall presence of the park creates a major outdoor recreational hub that will suit everyone in the community, regardless of their skill level or interest in cycling. There are dog parks, an outdoor pavilion and a paved trail that not only encircles the park but also heads through the woods and down to scenic Lake Atalanta.
Of course if you're into cycling, this area will be a frequent destination for you. Not only are there lots of swerves, jumps and obstacles at the park to conquer with your bike, but there are also miles of single track to ride as well. Last Saturday, the ribbon was officially cut, the people cheered and the bikes officially began to take over the park. Here's a few pictures from the celebration. Enjoy.
