Marlon Blackwell Architects | Northwest Arkansas Commercial Photography
If you’re a photographer and you’ve had to work indoors in a building designed by Marlon Blackwell Architects, you can pretty much point your camera in any direction and make a good photograph. As you can imagine, the same could be said of photographing in their offices. With a website refresh on the horizon, they invited us to do just that.
Recent Portraits | Northwest Arkansas Portrait Photography
Today on the blog, we sharing some recent portrait work. Portrait photography for us ranges from our typical commercial clients, to high school seniors and families (especially in the fall months). Today’s blog post is made up of University of Arkansas School of Art Faculty members, insurance brokers, lawyers, families, high school seniors, individuals featured in AY Magazine, investment firm associates, a couple celebrating their 25 year wedding anniversary and new associates for Marlon Blackwell Architects. Although most of the stuff we share through our social media channels is commercial work, we feel it is important to note that with regards to portrait photography, we love to work with families, high school seniors and other individuals as well.
Cheers, friends!

Thaden School Homecoming | Northwest Arkansas Commercial Photography
A few weeks back, Thaden School celebrated a Homecoming event. Unique to this year’s event is that, well, it was the first one ever. With no graduating classes as of yet, the school decided it would be the perfect opportunity to show off their new campus and in a sense, have their own version of a homecoming celebration. Families of students were invited to tour the campus and share a meal together. As an added bonus, the school also invited the architects responsible for the campus buildings to come and talk through the creative process of bringing the school’s vision to life in the form of the campus architecture and design. We spent the afternoon, capturing the new buildings, documenting a little campus life and snapping a few photos of the evening. Enjoy. nging the school’s vision to life in the form of the campus architecture and design. Susan Schadt Press | Memphis Tennessee Commercial Photography
I recently had the opportunity to work on a publication project for Susan Schadt Press out of Memphis Tennessee. The project, a book chronicling the history and newly revitalized Shelby Farms Park, was recently completed and published. A couple weeks ago, I attended (and participated in) a book signing/launch event, a first for me as a photographer and as a living/breathing human. The finished product looks amazing and I am truly honored to be included in such a talented group of collaborators. Book design by DOXA.

Jordan & Katey | Northwest Arkansas Wedding Photography
Our sincerest congratulations and well wishes go out to our good friends and newlyweds, Jordan & Katey Barron. Aside from a few uninvited rain clouds and a few of the guests feeding their dog "ZuZu" some of the delicious food from the reception buffet, their wedding day was low key, enjoyable and altogether, memorable. Shawna Young of Young Designs was on-site to coordinate the event and she did a fantastic job with all of the details. Also, special thanks to my good friend and former intern, Alex (I still can't spell his last name and you probably can't either) for shooting with me. Here are a few images from the day. Happy Monday everyone.
