How do you compile a decade’s worth of images and stories into a single blog post? If you ever figure it out, please let me know. In the meantime, this a best attempt at highlighting some of the ongoing clients, fun jobs and unique ingredients that have compiled the last 10 years of Novo Studio.

I recently had the opportunity to work on a project for Cycling Illustrated Magazine, OZ Trails NWA and Laneshift Mobility.  The project features legendary mountain bike racer Brian Lopes and his first trip to the area. I had the honor and privilege of spending a couple days with Him, along with Andre Pepin of Ellsworth Bikes and locals Clayton Woodruff of Progressive Trail Designs and Dustin Slaughter of Slaughter Trail Guides. It was a unique opportunity for me to not only witness first-hand some of the best mountain biking I've ever seen, but also to create images of it. It's been an incredibly busy season for me and for that, I am both thankful and tired. Most of my posts as of late have been work related and although this one is as well, these images show more of the in-betweens and behind the scenes details from my life as of late. All images shot with an iPhone SE (because my iPhone 6plus met with an untimely death and truth be told, I was tired of the big phone anyway). Happy Monday and enjoy.

Anyone who hasn't been living under a large amount of Arkansas bedrock over the last few years will tell you that the sport of mountain biking is literally taking off in our little corner of the state. And in case you've ever been riding the trails and wondered to yourself...

Say hello to The Highroller Cyclery. Since 1972, they've been helping people experience the joy and the adventure of cycling. They started out in Fayetteville and in 2013, opened their second location in Rogers. I was hired to produce an updated website for them and of course, that meant spending some time photographing their locations as well. It's no secret that we are a bike-friendly business. Cycling is not only a huge part of our lives here at the studio, but it is also a huge part of our community. The regional area of Northwest Arkansas is in the process of being connected with trails allowing for ease of bicycle commuting and in our little downtown area, a very well-known trail design company has been hard at work developing Lake Atalanta and building some killer mountain biking trails. Living in such close proximity to the studio, I frequently ride my bike to work and in the middle of the day when I need a breath of fresh air, I'll ride around our downtown area or home for lunch. Being a bike-friendly business and a supporter of local events also means that we are happy to volunteer our time, especially when it involves people and bicycles. This past weekend, the 30th annual Frisco Festival held two cycling events and we were around to photograph them both. Here's a few of our favorite images. Enjoy.
