Williams Baptist College | Jonesboro Arkansas Commercial Photography

Awhile back, we had the opportunity to travel to Williams Baptist College to create some images for their new marketing materials. Our goal was to capture candid images that portrayed the laid back and friendly atmosphere of the college. Nestled in a small town just outside of Jonesboro, Williams Baptist College offers its students the chance to focus on a variety of different majors in an environment where students are challenged to excel in their studies while also taking time to enjoy their college experience. Here's a few of the images that the University has decided to use in their new marketing materials.

Happy Thursday!

SoNA 2013 | Northwest Arkansas Commercial Photography

This year, we had the continued privilege of listening to and capturing images of The Symphony of Northwest Arkansas {SoNA}. I love my job and so many times, photography seems less like work and more like a fun and fulfilling way to express my creative side and get paid for it. But when combined with live music, it seems even more like that. And since I was photographing a dress rehearsal and not an actual performance, I was allowed to wander wherever I wanted onstage. Even better :) For this particular performance, SoNA was performing selections by John Williams which included music from Star Wars, Indiana Jones and a number of other well-known features. Here's a few images from the day. Enjoy!

Meet Edwards Optical | Northwest Arkansas Photography

Let me begin this feature with a heartfelt thank you. The idea to "meet our neighbors" started as a personal endeavor, partly to get to know the other people and businesses around our studio and partly to hone my writing skills. But an even bigger reason why we're doing this is because we find value in taking the time to offer deeper glimpses into ordinary lives. In this fast-paced day and age, we oftentimes skim the surfaces of each other when in truth, the really interesting stuff lies further down. Little did I realize the inspiration that would flare up or the stories that would unfold as a result. Just two features in and I'm already receiving more encouraging words and warm compliments than I ever expected. I would be foolish to think however that these have anything to do with pretty pictures or carefully formed words. Instead, I believe that these "deeper glimpses" resonate with readers because they reinforce the fact that we are all just people and we all have attached to us, a unique set of circumstances and experiences. These in turn, mold us and shape us and give us the unique life in which we live. Many thanks to the people who have agreed to take time out of their busy lives and schedules to share with me and a great many thanks to all the people who have read and responded so kindly.

And now without further adieu, I'm going introduce you to some Opticians :)
