Congratulations and Best Wishes to Seth and Myra Hollingsworth. I know Seth & Myra through some mutual friends and also, through the Fayetteville outdoors store Packrat, where they both work. Their celebration was complete with family, friends, great weather, incredible dance moves and hands down, the best getaway car I have ever seen at a wedding. There's a lot of great ways to start out the year but getting married is quite possibly one of the best. For these two childhood friends/sweethearts, it was a joyous celebration and a new beginning in their well-established relationship. Their celebration was shared by friends and family at the Victory Theater in historic downtown Rogers and it was a wonderful way to start the new year. Today, I'm excited to share some wedding images from 2015. I've been photographing weddings going on 10 years now and every wedding is different because every couple is different. I truly believe that I've had the privilege of getting to know some of the best couples on earth and for me, that makes photographing weddings a continued inspiration and adventure. Typically, rain on a wedding day can produce some very stressful results. But after John & Stacy’s rainy day engagement session, the mild showers and sporadic drizzle of the early morning did nothing to arouse their stress levels. And wouldn’t you know it…In true Fall weather form, the skies cleared off, the temperatures remained comfortable and tons of fun was had by all. It’s been a joy and a privilege getting to know these two over the past few months and I wish them the very best in their journey together. Congratulations and Best Wishes to Dallas and Madison. They were recently married on the most beautiful of Saturdays at Orchard's Park in Bentonville Arkansas. Say hello to Tim and Shanna. They were married last week in Tulsa and after months of emailing back and forth, I had the distinct privilege of meeting them in person for the first time and also, documenting their beautiful wedding day.

Thanks so much to Max and Lydia for having us at their beautiful wedding this past weekend. I've had the privilege of getting to know these two over the past few years. They are genuinely kind, thoughtful, active in their community and passionate about each other. On their wedding day, Max sent Lydia flowers and he made sure that she received them BEFORE she put on her make up because he knew she would cry. I find that to be a thoughtful and heartfelt gesture that shows he knows her and genuinely cares about her. As a wedding photographer, you are always learning from your experiences at weddings. Many of those experiences result in technical lessons about camera gear, lighting, and time management. But the greatest lessons come from couples like Max and Lydia. These lessons have nothing to do with camera equipment but they have everything to do with true love and what it looks like in real life. Congratulations you two. 

It was a beautiful Saturday for a wedding last weekend, and I was super excited and honored to spend it hanging out and celebrating with Nathan and Kristin. Documenting a wedding day gives you the opportunity to see everything first hand and I was amazed at how genuine and loving Nathan and Kristin were to everyone who came to celebrate with them (including me). The wedding day was designed and coordinated by the incredibly talented JLK | Weddings and they made sure that everything was beautiful and relaxed. Here are a few images from the day. Say hello to John and Stacy. The lady behind them might have been gasping at the day's forecast which called for nonstop, heavy rain. But John and Stacy were undeterred by the forecast and so was I. So I grabbed my rain jacket and they grabbed lots of extra clothes and we drove to where my doppler radar showed lighter rain and gaps in between the storms. The time in the car gave us a chance to get to know each other better and discuss important things like reggae music and who serves the best local coffee. And the weather gave us enough rain to make the whole day an adventure but not so much that creating images was an impossible task. Here's a few of my favorites. Enjoy!

It was a great honor to begin the 2015 wedding season by celebrating with and photographing two very good friends as they began their new life together. Aaron and Brook are two of the kindest people you'll ever meet. Their love for each other and the people around them is obvious and inspiring. Their beautiful Spring wedding took place at an amazing new wedding venue in the area called Rockford Grange. What this venue lacks in cell phone reception, it more than makes up for in thoughtful details, beautiful scenery and friendly staff. Besides, it's my personal opinion that people should shut their phones off and just enjoy the celebration anyway :) Here's a few images from the day. Congratulations you two!
