Opera House Tour | Northwest Arkansas Commercial Photography

Say hello to our next door neighbors, the hardworking architects and construction workers that are currently renovating “The Opera House”. Built in the late 1800’s, this gem-of-a-building occupies the corner block of Walnut and 1st Street in Downtown Rogers. John Mack, the building owner and lead architect for JKJ Architects has slowly but surely been bringing this building back to life for awhile now. Much of the slowness is due to the fact that while they were demolishing walls and opening up the spaces, they realized what bad shape the building was in. As a result, numerous steel beams were brought in to support the structure before work could continue. As of now, the building is fully supported and work is progressing.

Of course, all of this will undoubtedly be affected by the current state of affairs in our world. But it is certainly something to look forward to. Future plans for the building include a mix of retail/office space and of course, The Opera House, which will be setup for live music and events. Prior to the recent restrictions of social distancing and quarantine, we had a chance to tour the building and of course, we took a camera.

Happy Monday.
