Recent Work | Arkansas Commercial Photography
In this edition of “busy season craziness but here’s a recent work update”, we’ve got everything from farms, to pool parties, to cocktails, high-powered spray washers, hotel grand openings, moody portraits and even a possible Alexander Calder sculpture (verification pending). I’m sure we’ll do all this again in September. In the meantime, stay healthy, stay cool and stay awesome.
Cheers.
Neal Family Farm | Arkansas Commercial Photography
The Neal Family Farm is wildly popular with residents of Northwest Arkansas. And while they are best known for their delicious blueberries, this year (and for the first time ever), they decided to plant tulips. As you can see from the photos, the results were stunning. We were happy to work with their marketing agency, Fuss Consulting, to document the opening day. Here’s a few photos from the event. For more information on their tulips and their upcoming blueberry season, visit their website, their Facebook page or give them a follow on instagram.

Motto Hotel | Arkansas Commercial Photo + Video
Late last year, we had the opportunity to hang out and capture some content for Hospitality America and their new hotel, The Motto in Downtown Bentonville. The Motto, part of the Hilton chain of hotels, is a thoughtfully curated space oozing with a hip coolness and a warm welcome. We visited the property for both the soft opening as well as the grand opening and produced a collection of images and a video highlighting the event and the space. And today, we are happy to share some of that content here on our blog. Enjoy.
Finally, An Update | Arkansas Commercial Photography
Greetings and Happy Holidays from us here at Novo Studio. Now that the holiday season is upon us, we thought it would be a good idea to get around to updating our blog and social media with some recent work. Every year, it seems that the end of summer snowballs into fall. Work picks up, schedules become difficult and our capacity to continually update things stretches thin. But finally, here we are and my oh my, what year it has been.
For many of us, this year was largely defined by the severe weather of Memorial Day Weekend which resulted in multiple tornados and caused area-wide devastation. Many of our friends, clients and neighbors are STILL dealing with the impact from that weather and that is very sad and unfortunate. On a more positive note, we had a lot of fun with our work this year. In spite of some wild work scenarios and crazy deadlines, this year was so much fun and such a good learning experience.
Thank you to everyone for the support, the encouragement, and the opportunity to continue to do what we love.
See you all in the New Year.

Jazz, anyone? | Arkansas Live Music Photography
If you’re one of the locals in Northwest Arkansas pining for some excellent live jazz music, I’ve got great news for you…The H Club has you covered. Twice a month (usually on a Thursday evening), the H Club, which is owned and operated by Hubbard Clothing Company, opens the doors to it’s exclusive members only club and invites the public in for jazz and cocktails.
Bentoville | Arkansas Commercial Photography + Video
This week on the blog: Recent Commercial Photo + Video work for Bentoville.
By now, many of you have probably heard about Bentoville, their world class cuisine and their equally accomplished chefs. Maybe you’ve experienced one of their amazing events in person. Or perhaps you’ve simply ordered one (or more) of their Bento Boxes for lunch or dinner. But if you HAVEN’T heard of Bentoville…
Safety Culture / Nascar | Arkansas Commercial Photographer
This week on the blog, we’re featuring some images captured for Safety Culture featuring their sponsored Nascar Driver, Shane Van Gisbergen (aka SVG). Van Gisbergen, who hails from Auckland New Zealand (with the accent to match), has been racing professionally for a good number of years but only just starting in the Nascar circuit as of May 2023. I had the opportunity to follow a Safety Culture video crew around for an entire week, documenting the meticulous process of training, engineering, planning and also, the race itself. It was in fact, a blast. Here are a few photos from the week.
Enjoy.
Jon Batiste | Arkansas Live Music Photography
I could without a doubt, go on record to say that Jon Batiste is the happiest person I’ve ever seen perform live. Nothing about him or his performance was subtle, sad or dull. And while I’m personally drawn to sad, solemn musicians, I have a sneaking suspicion that following Batiste around for a day would do my soul a world of good. Fortunately, it only took a few hours photographing him, watching him and listening to his music to give me a better outlook on life and coincidentally, the experience of lifetime. Enjoy the photos and give him a listen if you haven’t already.
The Proverbial Coffin Workshop | Northwest Arkansas Commercial Photography
Today on the blog, we’re featuring images collected over the last few weeks that document the work of Jacob Paa Joe Jr., a visiting artist at the University of Arkansas School of Art.

Recently in Images | Arkansas Commercial Photography
It is now November and the last time we updated the blog was after weeks and weeks of busyness and travel. It’s safe to say that aside from constant travel, things haven’t changed much. And for the most part, we’re not complaining. In fact recently, we had a first for the studio…live music. And that was so fun, we’ll be doing it again. But consistent photoshoots and video shoots followed by editing and managing those aforementioned shoots does create difficulties in keeping up with the normal, everyday tasks of managing and marketing a business. But today, we’re making time and space to share some images from the recent weeks. We sincerely hope that everyone is able to make some space to enjoy the cooler temperatures, the changing leaves, and life in general.
Happy Fall, Y’all.
Brothers Osborne | Arkansas Commercial Photography
It happens every time; I photograph a concert where I am unfamiliar with the music artist and 3 songs in, I’m hooked and I’m saving their songs to my iPhone. The latest instance however, was somewhat of a shock. I knew the Brothers Osborne was going to be a country music concert. The fact that a very large percentage of the concert goers walking in were wearing cowboy hats only solidified the fact. And as music genres go, Country Music admittedly has been the last genre to win me over. In fact, that’s still a work in progress. But these guys? They’re good. Damn good. REALLY damn good. And that has won me over, 3 songs in and counting. (Click to Read More)
Windgate Studio + Design Center Grand Opening | Arkansas Commercial Photo + Video
Last weekend was a crowning achievement for the University of Arkansas’s School of Art. What started out as an idea, turned into a rather large grant (the largest in the history of universities, save athletic programs). And along with that huge grant, came plenty of meetings, lots of plans, the reworking of those plans, even more meetings and the collective support of the faculty and students. And now, a major milestone has been achieved: The Grand Opening of the Windgate Studio + Design Center.

Pintura Festival at Crystal Bridges | Northwest Arkansas Event Photography
We recently had the opportunity to experience Crystal Bridge’s Pintura Festival, cameras in-hand. Of course, carrying around our cameras didn’t leave our hands free to enjoy the delicious looking street corn they were serving. But sometimes as a commercial photographer, those are the breaks. We did however get to witness…(click to read more)
The War on Drugs | Northwest Arkansas Live Music Photography
Today on the blog: More music photography goodness, featuring The War on Drugs and their amazing show a few months back on the lawn of The Momentary. Truth be told, this was another one of those music artists that I’d heard of but not really listened to. And of course just like last time, I found myself listening to them on the drive home. If you’re not familiar with them, here’s an essentials playlist to get you started. Cheers.
Japanese Breakfast | Northwest Arkansas Live Music Photography
Today on the blog: Recent event photography for The Momentary featuring Japanese Breakfast. I (Philip) must confess, I had not heard much about Japanese Breakfast prior to this concert. Needless to say, I was blown away and I spent the car ride home blasting them out my windows. While going through the photos, I also decided to…(click to read more)
21 in 2021 | Arkansas Commercial Photography
Hello and welcome to the last blog post of 2021. Traditionally, we have shared our favorite images from the past year. Of course, we have a lot of favorites and so our posts have pretty much been a photodump smorgasbord from the past year. This year, challenged ourselves to find and share 21 photos from the past year, along with a short blurb or story behind each one. So without further adieu, here they are. Enjoy.
