Novo Studio recently completed a video project highlighting the creative work of BUF Studio in Bentonville, Arkansas. The piece profiles several of BUF’s recent projects, emphasizing their design approach, materials, and craftsmanship. Shot on location, the video blends detailed product and process footage with local residents enjoying the spaces that BUF has helped create. The project demonstrates Novo Studio’s capacity for producing polished commercial video that communicates brand values, highlights product quality, and supports local creative businesses. For years, Walter’s Boot & Shoe Repair has been located just steps from our studio. And for more years than we’ve been in existence, they’ve been firmly planted in the Downtown Rogers community, repairing shoes and leather goods. To walk into the shop these days is equal parts intrigue and nostalgia. The shop has been somewhat updated since the original owner, Carl Walter retired years ago. These days, his nephew Aaron, his wife Kim, their son Cody, and a talented hat maker named Clara work in the shop. And while you can finally use credit cards to pay for your repairs or purchases, many of the original details were thoughtfully left or repurposed in the shop. Most of the machines are original to the shop, some dating back to the late 40’s. And yet they still work as good as when they were new, thanks to Aaron’s knowledge and care. Awhile back, we had the opportunity to hang out in the shop with the purpose of creating some photo and video content. And today on the blog, we’re excited to share a bit of both. This week on the blog, we're featuring a short video project we recently created for Crafton Tull and their presence at the annual Rogers Lowell Chamber of Commerce Meeting. This video is part of a couple of larger, ongoing projects that we are currently working on for the firm. A fun fact for this project was that we were able to use one of their own employees (and a quiet storage closet) to record the voiceover portion of the project. Enjoy!

Late last year, we had the opportunity to hang out and capture some content for Hospitality America and their new hotel, The Motto in Downtown Bentonville. The Motto, part of the Hilton chain of hotels, is a thoughtfully curated space oozing with a hip coolness and a warm welcome. We visited the property for both the soft opening as well as the grand opening and produced a collection of images and a video highlighting the event and the space. Every year, the University hosts a weeklong Summer Arts Workshop for High-school Students, grades 10-12. The workshop is free and open to any students that wish to apply. Participating students are treated to a host of experiences including museum visits, classes and art experiences taught by faculty, and other unique opportunities. (click to view more)

Last weekend was a crowning achievement for the University of Arkansas’s School of Art. What started out as an idea, turned into a rather large grant (the largest in the history of universities, save athletic programs). And along with that huge grant, came plenty of meetings, lots of plans, the reworking of those plans, even more meetings and the collective support of the faculty and students. And now, a major milestone has been achieved: The Grand Opening of the Windgate Studio + Design Center.

Last Fall, we celebrated the release of Black Apple’s Flagship Cider in…a super large can. Of course in order to PROPERLY celebrate this magnificent feat of engineering and deliciousness, we created a little stop motion video for the occasion. And today, we’re sharing it here on the blog. Enjoy.

Christmas is coming. But for the students at the University of Arkansas School of Art, Christmas will come BIGTIME in January 2023, when the Windgate Art + Design Studio officially opens its doors. For years, the University’s Art Program has been expanding and as a result, the University has found all sorts of nooks and crannies in which to house and educate their students.

The Windgate Art + Design Studio is anything but a nook or cranny. This brand new building is a full-on multi-use center for a majority of the art students to call home. We were tasked with creating a short video to highlight the brand new building.

Recently, we had the opportunity to create a short video teaching the fundamentals of how to ride a bike on a pump track. This project coincided with some product photography showcasing two new pump track bikes from Mongoose. This project allowed us the opportunity to not only practice our video skills, but to get some visual tips and tricks on how to actually ride a pump track. And that’s exactly why we love what we do.

Today on the blog: Recent stop motion video work featuring a super awesome, all inclusive kayak equipment storage product. This particular project was created for a one of our clients for their Walmart Presentation. It’s always nice to add a little “pizzazz” to your product advertisement, no matter where you intend to present it.

We recently had the opportunity to create a promotional video highlighting and celebrating the collaborative effort between longtime local Harris Baking Company and privately held supermarket chain, HEB Stores Inc. For awhile now, Harris has been tasked with producing Sweet Hawaiian products under HEB’s “Aloha” name. When HEB requested a video presentation to show at their annual meeting, Harris Baking turned to us and allowed us to create the presentation.

Today on the blog: Recent video work (and not-so-recent photography work) for Englander Mattress Company. President and CEO Mark Kinsley recently hired us to create an introduction video for an Englander website redesign. In setting up the blog post, I realized that there were also a few photos from awhile back that we created for Englander.

So…Double Whammy Wednesday.

Thanks to the wonderful folks at HOWSE for letting us use their space to shoot the video project. And thanks to Mark’s dog, Jones for posing so majestically atop a super comfortable Englander Mattress for the photos.

We recently worked with our good friends at Black Apple Hard Cider and Archetype to introduce an educational initiative called Vote Safe Arkansas. The initiative is aimed at educating the Arkansas public about the sanitary features and procedures that will be in place at local voting locations in order to ensure a safe and smooth voting process.
