Back in August we got to do a few headshots for the Northwest Arkansas Young Professionals Summit. The Summit, in it’s 4th year, provides young (and old) professionals with personal, philanthropic and professional tools so they can learn to better serve their community. Here I met Dr. Todd Jenkins or Bowtie Todd. He is the Chair of the NWA Young Professionals Summit and founder and CEO of Bowtie Leadership. Bowtie Todd needed a new headshot and some additional content so during one of the summits break-out sessions we moved some lights around and threw a few bowties. It’s been a crazy busy week for both Jared and I as we’ve been on-location and apart most of the week for work. But we met up at the bike shop yesterday to pick up a few things and I got my first look at the new Bike Arkansas Magazine issue. Coincidentally, I also came across this awesome video clip that Jared shot while we were in the woods the day of the shoot so I thought I’d share both here on the blog. The weather’s supposed to be nice this weekend, get out and enjoy it!

Change is inevitable. Sometimes, it’s quick and abrupt. And other times, you start to feel the slow pull and growing tension of the current circumstances and you start wondering what to do about it. The latter has been my experience over the last couple of years…

When an awesome bank and its awesome marketing agency hire you to photograph landscapes and community imagery for marketing purposes, you make the most of it and have fun in the process. For me, that meant road tripping, truck camping, exploring small towns and taking some time to sit by the water and watch sunrises and sunsets. Thanks to The Twiggs Group & Grand Savings Bank for sending me on this work trip that didn't feel like a work trip at all. 

It's always a pleasure to work with the fine folks at the Fayetteville Public Library. Spending the day watching people and photographing them as they use the library in so many different ways is a great reminder of how blessed we are to have so many great resources and programs in our little region. Even if you are not a resident of Fayetteville, the library is well worth the drive there especially if you have kids. For more information, visit their website.

Last week, I had the unique opportunity to create behind-the-scenes images on a movie set. For 2 days, Director of Color for Clairol James Corbett was in town to create video content showcasing Clairol products and teaching viewers how to color their own hair using them. I had a lot of fun hanging out with the fabulous crew from Verge Videos, Touchstorm Marketing and of course, Clairol. Here's a few images from the shoot. Enjoy!

Today, we're posting a few images from a recent photography job at Eastside Elementary. The goal was to create some images of the students interacting and engaging in the school environment. Shortly after creating these images, a fatal incident in Connecticut left a tragic mark on an elementary school, the local community and ultimately, our nation as a whole. We decided to let some time pass before posting these images and we hope that by posting them, they remind you that life is indeed precious and in the midst of tragedy, hope springs up.
