Twice a month (usually on a Thursday evening), the H Club, which is owned and operated by Hubbard Clothing Company, opens the doors to it’s exclusive members only club and invites the public in for jazz and cocktails.

We’ve worked with them for a few years now and without a doubt, this restaurant along with their chef, William Mauk turns out some of the most delicious food we’ve had the privilege to photograph. If you’re a photographer and you’ve had to work indoors in a building designed by Marlon Blackwell Architects, you can pretty much point your camera in any direction and make a good photograph. As you can imagine, the same could be said of photographing in their offices. With a website refresh on the horizon, they invited us to do just that.

Today on the blog, new work for the University of Arkansas’s Center for Farms and Food. For this photoshoot, we visited a small family-run, certified organic farm atop a beautiful hill outside of Westfork Arkansas. The farm is simply known as the dH farm and they offer everything from fresh vegetables and flowers, to meats and eggs. Frank, the resident intern at the farm (as well as the rest of the family), took us on a tour of the grounds and introduced us to all the animals including their two dogs, Naomi (pictured above) and Rex, a little floppy-eared brute. Today on the blog: Recent work for our good friends over at B-Unlimited. Years ago, we created some initial marketing images for them. But with a new location and a new website to match, it was time to do it all over again. Some notable things about this experience:

• They’re really nice people

• They’re REALLY good at Ping Pong

• They have their craft down to an artistic science

• When you’re wearing a mask on a photoshoot and you sneeze, it’s kind of a terrible experience.

Today on the blog: Some recent work with Experience Fayetteville creating imagery that showcases the unique, outdoorsy, bike-friendly and dog-friendly culture of Fayetteville.

Another recent project from this month was spending some quality time with the talented and ambitious students from the University of Arkansas Honors College. It never ceases to amaze me the level of thinking and dedication these students apply to their lives and to their learning. I spent the day hearing about how they are trying to make the world a better place while also photographing them in their natural environments. It’s days like this that remind me why I love my job so much.

Congratulations to the City of Fayetteville and the Fayetteville Public Library on their recent ground breaking ceremony for their library expansion. Over the course of the last year or so, we have worked together with Doxa and the Fayetteville Public Library to create content for this wonderful expansion project. I recently had the opportunity to visit with and photograph artist Linda Lopez for an upcoming issue of Arkansas Made Magazine. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…I am always inspired when I have the opportunity to watch and learn from artists working in other mediums. And I don’t think this revelation is limited to just artists, either. So no matter what line of work you’re in, take this little blurb, run with it and go learn something about someone else’s line of work. Cheers.

Fayetteville Arkansas knows how to throw a good party. (And not just of the college variety) Case in point, their First Thursday events that happen every first Thursday of the month during the warmer seasons in Arkansas. Their last one for the year was last week and I had the opportunity to attend it and photograph it. They also debuted their new Veoride Bike Share Program, making the city even more bike-friendly (which I didn’t think was possible). Party on, Fayetteville.
