It's been an incredibly busy season for me and for that, I am both thankful and tired. Most of my posts as of late have been work related and although this one is as well, these images show more of the in-betweens and behind the scenes details from my life as of late. All images shot with an iPhone SE (because my iPhone 6plus met with an untimely death and truth be told, I was tired of the big phone anyway). Happy Monday and enjoy. 

Happy Fall Everyone. The new Bike Arkansas Magazine recently hit the shelves, stands and displays around here and it's chock-full of valuable information on everything from enjoying the local trails, to gear suggestions and probably most importantly, the upcoming International Mountain Bike Association (IMBA) World Summit. Anyone who hasn't been living under a large amount of Arkansas bedrock over the last few years will tell you that the sport of mountain biking is literally taking off in our little corner of the state. And in case you've ever been riding the trails and wondered to yourself...

A few years back, I had the opportunity to travel to Memphis for a commercial photography project with Saddle Creek Orthodontics and a few weeks ago, I made a return visit. Much of my time there was centered around creating updated office environment and staff imagery but I also spent a good chunk of time creating imagery for decorating their new office in Collierville. Here are a few of my favorites. Enjoy. 

I recently had the opportunity to document a few of the truly gifted doctors, nurses and caretakers at Washington Regional Medical Center. The resulting images were used in their 2016 report to the community, which was designed and produced by the Fayetteville design firm, DOXA. Here are a few of my favorite images from the project. I recently had the privilege of creating some images for the newest issue of Block, Street & Building, a magazine showcasing the progress of New Urbanism in Arkansas. There's a new Farmers Market in town...downtown, that is. A new and improved Rogers Farmers Market is now open in on Saturday mornings in Downtown Rogers. The market, which opened last weekend is held in a newly renovated indoor/outdoor space complete with a full kitchen, public restrooms, food trucks and green space. I have officially been contracted by the Rogers Lowell Chamber of Commerce and Visit Rogers to create an updated library of imagery for the city of Rogers. This project will be a year-long endeavor and will consist of imagery from local events, amenities, architecture, businesses, restaurants and lifestyle.

My absolute favorite part of living in Arkansas is the natural beauty everywhere and the variety of outdoor activities that the environment facilitates. I'll take any opportunity I can to work with clients that are supporting these outdoor activities;

A few weeks back, I had the opportunity to spend some time photographing life in the office at my favorite local design agency, DOXA. My history with DOXA began in college with a graphic design internship and it has continued over the years with commercial photography. I'm very thankful, not only for the creative inspiration that I've gleaned from working with the people at DOXA, but also for the friendships that I've formed with them. They are truly a good group of people to work with.  

I recently had the opportunity to hang out with the awesome staff at Harrington Miller Law Firm in Springdale, Arkansas. A few years back, I created some images for their new brand and website. Since then, they've moved to a larger location and as a result, their website imagery needed some updating. And while their business thrives on the experience and professionalism that you'd expect from a top rated law firm, I should also mention that these people are some of the nicest, most approachable and sincere people I've had the pleasure of working with. 

Lately, I've been dreaming of a photography road trip to some abandoned destinations. My recent schedule has afforded me many bike rides but no real time to travel and shoot. And while I plan to remedy that in the next few weeks, nothing I find will probably compare to the town of Picher Oklahoma. I shared some of my images here on the blog a few years back but this week, I happened to be revisiting them and I decided to make a quick little slideshow with some of my favorite images. Attention Rock Climbers: Don't throw your old climbing ropes away! Instead, hand them over to the guys at Buddha Rugs and they'll turn your old, tired and probably unsafe to climb on any longer rope into a beautiful and functional rug. I had the privilege of hanging out with Jason and Brian, the guys behind Buddha rugs a few weekends back for Arkansas Wild Magazine. It was an eye opening experience, both from the education I received about the sport of rock climbing and from seeing the engineering and craftsmanship with which these two design and construct their rugs. What started as a small hobby and a way to give new life to retired climbing rope has turned into a small business that seems to be growing. I'm not going to lie, it's really awesome when you're hired to go hiking and shoot pictures of the experience. Such was the case this week when I traveled to Fairfield Bay Arkansas to capture the experience of hiking Sugar Loaf Mountain. Here are a few of my favorite images from the hike. Enjoy. 

Today on the blog, I'm excited to be sharing images from this year's commercial photography projects. I have developed a strong love for telling stories of products, people, environments and companies through imagery and over the years, I've had the privilege of working on some very interesting projects. 2015 was certainly no exception. Many many thanks to the clients who made these images possible. 

Over the years, my work has taken me to a variety of locations around the country and around the world. But in all honesty, Arkansas still has some of the most beautiful scenery I've ever laid my eyes or my camera lenses on. I recently, I had the opportunity to travel to a scenic part of the state on the White River to photograph a guided fishing / lunch adventure courtesy of Gaston's White River Resort and Arkansas Wild Magazine. Say hello to The Highroller Cyclery. Since 1972, they've been helping people experience the joy and the adventure of cycling. They started out in Fayetteville and in 2013, opened their second location in Rogers. I was hired to produce an updated website for them and of course, that meant spending some time photographing their locations as well.
