I recently had the opportunity to drive them around for some engagement photos while also attempting to dodge the thunderstorms and keep them dry. Of course, that didn't QUITE happen but oh well. Say hello to Dallas and Madison, a super sweet couple I recently got to hang out with. Although they both live in North Carolina, Madison is an NWA local and since her September wedding is here, she wanted her engagement pictures to be here as well. And unlike some of the recent days we've had, this day turned out to be pleasant with partly cloudy skies and mild, almost humidity-free temperatures. Here's a few of my images from the evening. Say hello to John and Stacy. The lady behind them might have been gasping at the day's forecast which called for nonstop, heavy rain. But John and Stacy were undeterred by the forecast and so was I. So I grabbed my rain jacket and they grabbed lots of extra clothes and we drove to where my doppler radar showed lighter rain and gaps in between the storms. The time in the car gave us a chance to get to know each other better and discuss important things like reggae music and who serves the best local coffee. And the weather gave us enough rain to make the whole day an adventure but not so much that creating images was an impossible task. Here's a few of my favorites. Enjoy!

Cold weather and snow were in the forecast this weekend. But that didn't stop Aaron and Brook from celebrating their engagement. Thank you for making 2014 such a great year for us. Things got a little a crazy there at the end but all's well that ends well and this week, we'll be sharing some of our favorite images from the year. Say hello to Max & Lydia. They're a great couple who love each other immensely and love running almost as much. They've done marathons and triathlons galore and they both lead a very active lifestyle. I recently had to opportunity to help them celebrate their engagement with cameras and lenses. Meet Cody & Briana. As you can see from the football in the picture above, they're getting married next year and yes, they BOTH like football. The interactions between these two kept me laughing the entire evening and the rain managed to hold off until approximately 25 seconds after we finished up. Tis the season for fall engagement photos and Jordan and Katey couldn't have timed it better. We met up a few weeks ago and hit the road looking for beautiful scenery and ozark oddities for their engagement photos. I always enjoy these times of conversation, exploration, trespassing and laughter while we're driving and shooting. You can learn a lot about people by taking a drive with them and you can always find off-the-beaten-path places to explore and shoot around. Thanks to Jordan and Katey and to everyone else who has entrusted me to take them out on the road to celebrate their engagement.

Today, we offer our sincerest congratulations and well-wishes to Ben and Amanda. Yesterday, Ben took Amanda for a little stroll around Crystal Bridges. She thought they were meeting some friends there. Little did she know that the "friends rendezvous" was just a ploy to get her to a scenic part of the trails surrounding the museum so that Ben could ask her a very important question. 

This is the second proposal we've had the privilege of documenting and let me tell you, it's a FUN experience. I don't know if it's all the sneaking around and hiding in the bushes, the location scouting, the logistical planning, or just the overwhelming anticipation of witnessing such a heartfelt and memorable moment...whatever it is, it's awesome. And today, I'm excited to share this memorable moment in images. Special thanks to the rain for holding off long enough for Ben to stick to "Plan A"...especially since he didn't quite have a "Plan B". :)

We spent a good portion of last week back here in Rogers doing some shooting. And while most of our shoots were commercial work, it was certainly nice to get outdoors and hang out with this wonderful couple. Say hello to Brian and Meaghan. Say hello to Michael and Felicia. For their engagement photos, they opted to hit the water instead of the road and I was of course, TOTALLY ok with that. We spent an evening on a friend's sailboat and had a total blast. I also didn't fall into the water or drop any lenses overboard while trying to get any of these shots so the evening turned out much better than expected :) Enjoy.
