For a few weeks now, we've been working on a super fun project and today, we're excited to share. One of the greatest joys of working with products is that we get to not only tell their benefits and features through a story, but we get think of ways to bring the product itself to life. Such was the case with the Zipper Bag by Cumberland Concepts. 

Cold weather and snow were in the forecast this weekend. But that didn't stop Aaron and Brook from celebrating their engagement. With coffee, cappuccino and hot chocolate in-hand, we road tripped around and stopped off at some interesting spots along the way. Here's a few images from our evening together. Happy Snow Day!

I recently had the opportunity to travel around the beautiful state of Arkansas with the Fayetteville based design firm DOXA, to create images for the new Bear State Bank. Bear State Financial recently purchased a few different banks in Arkansas and Oklahoma and they wanted to incorporate imagery of all the employees in their new internal and external marketing materials. Over the course of a 2 week period, I had the opportunity to travel to the different branches, meet the employees and photograph them in their work environments. Today, I'm excited to share some portraits of the incredible people that I met while working on this project. Thanks to DOXA for the opportunity and congratulations on the creation of a beautiful brand. 

It's currently spring weather in the middle of January and that little glimmer of Spring was great for Ben, Ryan and their engagement photos last weekend. Heres a few favorites from the evening.

A couple weeks ago, I had the honor and privilege of spending the evening with the good people of Help One Now. Help One Now is an organization dedicated to caring for orphans and vulnerable children. They accomplish this by empowering and resourcing high-capacity local leaders in order to transform communities and break the cycle of extreme poverty. Although the organization is based elsewhere in the United States, Help One Now has a large number of supporters and board members here in Northwest Arkansas. It's always awe-inspiring to spend time with people who are so passionate about loving and caring for the lost and forgotten people of this world and this organization does that SO well. For the last few years, I've had the privilege of attending and photographing the annual Mercy Charity Ball. This year, the event was especially unique in that I was able to personally identify with the cause having recently spent quite a bit of time in St. Edwards Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith. As usual, the evening was filled with food, fun and great projects to donate money towards. Here's a few of my favorite images from the evening. Enjoy. 

Say hello to Max & Lydia. They're a great couple who love each other immensely and love running almost as much. They've done marathons and triathlons galore and they both lead a very active lifestyle. I recently had to opportunity to help them celebrate their engagement with cameras and lenses. Meet Cody & Briana. As you can see from the football in the picture above, they're getting married next year and yes, they BOTH like football. The interactions between these two kept me laughing the entire evening and the rain managed to hold off until approximately 25 seconds after we finished up. We recently had the opportunity to work with the Brittany Phillips Design and the Boston Mountain Solid Waste District on their new website. And after a series of shoots that required me to dress up, it was a nice change to put on some "get dirty" clothes and document some dedicated, hard-working volunteers as they cleaned waste out of a creek. Mount Kessler continues to undergo development by the city of Fayetteville and last week, volunteers along with members of the Beaver Watershed Alliance and the Boston Mountain Solid Waste District gathered at one of the areas to clean waste out of a creek. 

For three hours, volunteers braved the plummeting temperatures wandering, wading and collaborating to haul out as much debris as they could. At the end of the night, there was pizza, hot chocolate and even a small raffle with some prizes. But most importantly, there was the camaraderie of like-minded individuals coming together around a common goal, to help keep Arkansas beautiful. Here's a few images from the event. Enjoy. 

Say hello to Emma Pitts. She's quiet, sophisticated and has an impeccable eye for fashion. Her goal in fact, is to study fashion and to work in the industry long-term. She requested a few "fall" pictures for her senior portraits but then, left it up to us on where to go after. Naturally, we headed out to a favorite abandonment and then, to a favorite derelict car. Meet Dalin Hearn, a Bentonville Highschool Senior. He's a starting pitcher for the Bentonville Tigers Baseball team and he plans to join the armed forces and train to become a Ranger. Tis the season for fall engagement photos and Jordan and Katey couldn't have timed it better. We met up a few weeks ago and hit the road looking for beautiful scenery and ozark oddities for their engagement photos. I always enjoy these times of conversation, exploration, trespassing and laughter while we're driving and shooting. You can learn a lot about people by taking a drive with them and you can always find off-the-beaten-path places to explore and shoot around. Thanks to Jordan and Katey and to everyone else who has entrusted me to take them out on the road to celebrate their engagement.

We ventured out to her family's lake house for her senior pictures and it was a lot of fun to explore the area and hear some of Mackenzie's great stories and memories from the place. Hello and Happy Fall! We've had some beautiful weather, some beautiful leaves and some beautiful moments lately. Last weekend, we had the honor and privilege of celebrating a wedding with Bryan and Meaghan. These two were definitely a blast to spend the day with and we're excited to share a few of our favorite images today on the blog. Enjoy!

Today, we offer our sincerest congratulations and well-wishes to Ben and Amanda. Yesterday, Ben took Amanda for a little stroll around Crystal Bridges. She thought they were meeting some friends there. Little did she know that the "friends rendezvous" was just a ploy to get her to a scenic part of the trails surrounding the museum so that Ben could ask her a very important question. 

This is the second proposal we've had the privilege of documenting and let me tell you, it's a FUN experience. I don't know if it's all the sneaking around and hiding in the bushes, the location scouting, the logistical planning, or just the overwhelming anticipation of witnessing such a heartfelt and memorable moment...whatever it is, it's awesome. And today, I'm excited to share this memorable moment in images. Special thanks to the rain for holding off long enough for Ben to stick to "Plan A"...especially since he didn't quite have a "Plan B". :)
