Dale & Katelyn | Northwest Arkansas Wedding Photography
Today on the blog, we are honored to share with you some of our favorite images from Dale & Katelyn's Wedding. My favorite part of photographing weddings by far, is the...
Brian & Meaghan | Northwest Arkansas Wedding Photography
Hello and Happy Fall! We've had some beautiful weather, some beautiful leaves and some beautiful moments lately. Last weekend, we had the honor and privilege of celebrating a wedding with Bryan and Meaghan. These two were definitely a blast to spend the day with and we're excited to share a few of our favorite images today on the blog. Enjoy!
Michael & Michelle | Northwest Arkansas Wedding Photography
This past weekend, we had the honor and privilege of being a part of, what turned out to be one of our favorite weddings ever. Michael and Michelle have become good friends over the course of the past year. Their impeccable taste in music, their love for outlandish shenanigans and their overall awesome personalities make them quite the good match for each other. We couldn’t be happier for these two as they start their new life together and we wish them all the best for the adventures and shenanigans ahead. Cheers, you two.
Ben & Ryan { A Proposal } | Northwest Arkansas Engagement Photography
Congratulations to Ben and Ryan on their VERY recent engagement. Late last week, we helped Ben plan the proposal and then, hung out behind a trailer and some shrubbery to capture the moments. Here are few images from the evening. Enjoy.
Keith & Dominique | Northwest Arkansas Wedding Photography
Today, we offer our sincerest congratulations and well-wishes to Keith and Dominique. Their small, intimate wedding was last Saturday and in spite of what appeared to be a dreary forecast, the evening was perfect, the temperature pleasant and the smiles, everywhere. Here's a few of our favorite images from the day. Enjoy.
Daryl & Elizabeth | Tulsa Oklahoma Wedding Photography
Say hello to Daryl & Elizabeth. A few weeks ago, we had the opportunity to travel to Tulsa Oklahoma and celebrate with them on their wedding day, cameras in-hand. I grew up in Tulsa and I always welcome to the chance to return and photograph there, especially when it's a wedding. And their celebration was an incredibly fun way to spend a Saturday. Elizabeth injected a lot her own personality into the details of the wedding. Being a die hard Hanson fan, she made sure that her church's hand bell choir performed a rendition of their hit song "mmmbop" during the ceremony. Hanson also showed up again in the beer selection for the reception guests with their signature brew, "mmmhops". And as much as Elizabeth wanted her beloved cat Oliver to attend the wedding, she opted for a life-sized cardboard likeness of him instead. And of course, that was awesome. Here's a few images from their day, along with our sincerest well-wishes and congratulations. Enjoy.
Jesse & Mabre | Northwest Arkansas Wedding Photography
Say hello to Jesse and Mabre. Arizona is where they call home but since Mabre is an Arkansas native, they opted to get married here and planned their wedding long distance. The ceremony was held at The Garden Room in downtown Fayetteville and consisted of close friends, family, an incredibly talented band, a variety of homemade pies, lots of great stories and well-wishes and of course, dancing. There were two firsts that came with this particular wedding. It was the first time I've ever shot a wedding after being involved in a car wreck the same day. (Yes, I'm fine and no, it wasn't the Novomobile). This was also the first wedding I've ever photographed where in mid father/daughter dance, the song abruptly switched to "Wobble" and the father/daughter followed suit with the corresponding dance moves. I have to say the latter was the more pleasant experience and overall, the wedding was one of my favorites to date. Here's a few images from the day. Enjoy.
Brandon & Lisa | Hot Springs Arkansas Wedding Photography
Yesterday, we featured a few bridal portraits of Lisa here on the blog. Today, we're excited to feature a few images from Lisa and Brandon's recent wedding ceremony. This beautiful ceremony took place on the banks of the beautiful Lake Ouachita and featured more handmade, DIY details than we've ever encountered at a wedding ceremony. The amount of carpentry and artistry the couple put into this day was seriously stunning. But of course, the real heart of a day like this is love and that was truly evident as Brandon tearfully watched Lisa walk down the aisle toward him. Our sincerest congratulations and well-wishes to these two on their adventures (and artsy projects) to come.
Nate & Courtney | Frisco Texas Wedding Photography
A few days ago, we were excited to share some images from Courtney's Bridal Session. And today, we're just as excited to share some images from her beautiful wedding day. Congratulations you two! Enjoy!
Courtney Roza | Frisco Texas Bridal Portraits
We've been posting about twins a lot lately. And so we thought it fitting to continue the trend with this beautiful bride who happens to be an identical twin. Meet Courtney Roza (now Boye). If she looks familiar, it's because we photographed her sister Kelsey last year. A few weeks before her wedding, I traveled to Texas for this shoot and I had a blast hanging out with Courtney and her family. Her brother even introduced me to the best little burger joint ever. This trip to Texas was made even more special by the fact that Courtney and her family shared stories and words of wisdom on raising to twins. As you probably know, this information has become ever more relevant to us in the past few days. We'll be posting photos of her wedding in the very near future. In the meantime, enjoy some of our favorite images from her bridal shoot.
Ben & Joy | Northwest Arkansas Wedding Photography
It seems the weather patterns have been unpredictable lately. The Saturday morning started off with scattered rain. But by the time Ben and Joy were ready to see each other, the sun had appeared and the temperatures had warmed up. You might remember these two from their engagement photos. We had a blast in the little town of Eureka Springs, where they love to get away for the day or the weekend. After the we finished with photos, they bought me pizza and showed me how to play darts. And since then, we've become good friends. Right now, they're off to Cape Cod and Boston for their honeymoon but should they check their phones while they're away, we hope that these photos are a nice little surprise :) Cheers and Congratulations you two!
Mike & Mariah | Northwest Arkansas Wedding Photography
Last weekend's wedding with Mike and Mariah was lots of fun. The summer heat hasn't completely set in yet so the temperatures were just right and the weather opted to ignore the 40% chance of rain and remain mostly sunny for their outdoor celebration. Family and friends gathered on the lawn of Old Main for the beautiful outdoor ceremony which was officiated by Mike's grandmother. Special props to the flower girl who decided to just "get it done" with the flower petals. Then, it was off to an intimate, laid back reception at the home of Mike's father. There's something to be said about backyard receptions. Everyone feels more at home. The conversation and laughter seems a little louder, the kids are more entertained and more people than normal offer to "get the photographers a drink". And even though we drink water during weddings, the gesture is always welcome. Here's a few images from the day. Enjoy.
A Bridal Session // Everything but the Bridals :)
Last week, I traveled to Celina Texas to create some Bridal Portraits for a beautiful bride-to-be by the name of Courtney Roza. Courtney is an identical twin sister to another beautiful bride we worked with, Kelsey (now Difani). Over the course of the last year, we've become great friends with both Courtney and Kelsey, their significant others and also, their family. Their family has very graciously opened up their home to us numerous times and we always have a great time with them. In fact, they've become like family to us. This past week was especially memorable as we shared stories and experiences about life with twins. Although we can't show you any of the actual bridal portraits for another few weeks, we thought it would be fun to post some "behind the scenes" photos from our time in Texas. Have a great weekend and enjoy.
Patrick & Amanda | Northwest Arkansas Wedding Photography
They met at college in Iowa on the first day of class and they've been in separable ever since. Last weekend, Patrick and Mandy celebrated their love with family, close friends, two DJ's from Brock Entertainment and Us. Here are a few images from their wedding day, along with our sincerest congratulations and well-wishes. Cheers.
Jake & Nicki | Northwest Arkansas Wedding Photography
Congratulations to Jake and Nicki who had a gorgeous wedding this past Saturday at Chapel on the Creeks. This time of year, everyone watches the weather for wedding weekends and in all our years of shooting weddings, this past Saturday had to be some of the most perfect weather we've ever seen. That was perfect for the outdoor reception at Creekwood Gardens, which happens to be one of our favorite places to shoot. As was the case with last weekend's wedding, The Thomas Twins (along with the guests) were kicking and grooving along to the sounds of the DJ and a good time was had by all. Here's a few images from the big day. Enjoy!
Ian & Megan | Northwest Arkansas Wedding Photography
Last weekend's wedding was a delightful mix of British and American colors, traditions and accents. We were super excited to be a part of Ian and Megan's celebration and they did in fact, have a lot to celebrate. During the week, their family and friends began to arrive and they came from literally all over the world coming to celebrate. Ian's uncle also came, bringing along his bagpipes and traditional attire. Ian's uncle is somewhat of a legend in the UK, playing for various royalty and occasions and even the Queen. His charming personality and quick wit were evident when I remarked to him that "I guessed he wasn't from around here."
This was also the first wedding where we knew we had "The Thomas Twins" along for the ride. And according to Kristen, they joined in the celebration by kicking frequently and even doing a couple of somersaults. From all four of us here at Novo Studio, we offer our sincerest congratulations and well-wishes to Ian and Megan. Here's a few images from their beautiful day.
Cheers.
Keith & Dominique | Northwest Arkansas Engagement Photography
Meet Keith & Dominique. They're getting married in September and between now and then, they'll more than likely be planning their wedding while attending a number of music festivals and concerts that they're excited about. A few days ago, we took advantage of the beautiful weather and headed out to create some images to celebrate their engagement. Here's a few of our favorites. Happy Weekend!
Collin & Erin | Northwest Arkansas Wedding Photography
For the life of me, I can't recall a wedding other than my own where I had to hold back a few tears. But such was the case this past weekend, when Collin Jackson and Erin Pham recited their beautifully written and intensely personal vows to each other. It was a beautiful day for the wedding. For what seemed like the first time this year, the temperatures rose above freezing and the sun graced us with its warmth. We arrived in the morning and spent the day with Collin and Erin, their family and friends as they prepared for the long awaited celebration. And when it finally arrived, I found myself, like the hundreds of others in the room, getting a little emotional. Stone Chapel was indeed packed out for the celebration, but I do believe even MORE people packed out the adjoining reception area, where the guys from Brock Entertainment pumped out the music and the motivation to respond to that music with lots of epic dance moves. Even with 11 stitches in my knee from a recent mountain biking accident, I found myself in the middle of it all, capturing various displays of awesomeness while attempting a few dance moves of my own. All in all, it was a wonderful way to start out 2014 and we are SO HAPPY for the new Mr. & Mrs. Jackson. Here's a few images from the day. Enjoy!
2013 // A Year In Images | Northwest Arkansas Photography
If I had to pick one word to sum up the year, I don't know what it would be. I suppose you can't pick just one word to sum up anything. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. And this blog post, with it's "20+" images would mathematically be more words than I would care to list out here. But hopefully, these images in some small way, begin to describe how much fun we've had being creative in 2013 (and quite possibly, late 2012). We're truly thankful for this last year and we're very excited for the next. Onward and Enjoy.
Noah & Anjeanette | Northwest Arkansas Wedding Photography
We have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Noah and Anjeanette over the past few months. Hanging out with them for their engagement photos was a total blast. And as it turns out, we have a lot in common. We enjoy Cycling, Martin Guitars, the great outdoors, Mumford & Sons and (thanks to Anjeanette's affinity for baking), Jalapeño Sugar Cookies. Last weekend, their family and close friends traveled to the Cedar Crest Lodge, a beautiful and secluded space in Ponca Arkansas to celebrate their wedding. True to form, the chilly fall weather showed up but lots of love and strategically placed outdoor heaters kept everyone cozy and comfortable. Here's a few images from the day. Enjoy.
