Emma Guzman, Wal-Mart | Northwest Arkansas Commercial Photography
We recently had the opportunity to photograph Emma Guzman for a special feature in the Wall Street Journal. Emma serves as an assistant marketing manager at the Wal-Mart Home Office in Bentonville, Arkansas. Emma's hard work ethic is balanced by her friendly, down-to-earth personality and sense of humor. It's easy to see why her coworkers both respect her and enjoy working with her so much. Here's a few images from our photo shoot. Enjoy.
Life in Limbo | A Due Date Update
Yesterday, August 18th, was the official due date for #thethomastwins. When we found out that we were having two babies instead of one, the doctor told us that they would probably come early, just not 2 months early. But such is life and these kids came when they did and we have a whole fiasco of a story to tell them about their entrance into this world when they're old enough to appreciate it. I thought it appropriate to take a blog post to bring all our wonderful readers, followers and fans up to date on what has happened and how things are going with our family. Here we go.
Rachel Young | Northwest Arkansas Highschool Senior Portraits
A BIG Congratulations to Rachel Young. Rachel is a Senior this year at Rogers High School and of course, that means Senior Portraits. Earlier this week, we loaded up the Novomobile with camera equipment, awesome clothes, Rachel and her Mother and headed out to explore the area. Here's a few of our favorite images from the evening. Enjoy!
The Clorox Company | Northwest Arkansas Commercial Photography
We were recently hired to create some images for The Clorox Company. You might think of Clorox as "Clorox Bleach" and you would be correct. What you may not realize however, is that Clorox owns a number of brands you may recognize and use everyday such as Kingsford, Hidden Valley, Brita, Burt's Bees, Fresh Step, Pine Sol and Liquid Plumr to name a few. One of their brands also happens to be Glad Bags and they have a manufacturing facility right here in Rogers, Arkansas. We were hired to document some of the day to day operations of the facility and also, to create a few "working" portraits of some The Clorox Company's executives at their offices in Bentonville Arkansas. Here are a few of our favorites. Enjoy!

A Special Thankyou | Northwest Arkansas Photography
We wanted take a moment to sincerely thank our intern Alex for all his hard work and dedication this summer. Alex, who’s last name has such an impossible spelling that we given up trying to include it with his first name, photographed a number of weddings with us during April, May and June. He traveled with us out of state for a few of those weddings and he was with us when all the chaos with #thethomastwins started. He quietly sat in the back of our Subaru while I drove like a maniac in the middle of the night to rush my wife to the hospital and he helped calm an irate police officer down and save me from, what I presume would’ve been a hefty speeding ticket upon our arrival in Ft. Smith. His friendly, yet sarcastic personality was a great addition to our summer schedule as were his incredible images. And his relentless work ethic will undoubtedly carry him far in photography and in life.
Life in Limbo | One out, One to go.
An update on our life-in-limbo: Summer's out of the hospital, Weston's still in the hospital and we're still here in Fort Smith...
Brian & Meaghan | Northwest Arkansas Engagement Photography
We spent a good portion of last week back here in Rogers doing some shooting. And while most of our shoots were commercial work, it was certainly nice to get outdoors and hang out with this wonderful couple. Say hello to Brian and Meaghan. They're getting married in a couple of months and we are very excited to celebrate with them. Here's a few images from our evening together. Enjoy.
Life in Limbo | A Day in Images
As many of you know, we are currently living a life-in-limbo. For the past few weeks, we have called Fort Smith Arkansas and the Mercy Hospital here, home. We've slept on hospital cots, hospital beds, a few different hotel beds and finally, a more permanent (and comfortable) bed at the Candlewood Suites. Our hotel is about a 2 minute drive from the hospital where our kiddos are currently living. We have settled into a bit of a daily routine and today by way of images, we thought it appropriate to walk you through a typical day and also, give you an update. Off we go.
Daryl & Elizabeth | Tulsa Oklahoma Wedding Photography
Say hello to Daryl & Elizabeth. A few weeks ago, we had the opportunity to travel to Tulsa Oklahoma and celebrate with them on their wedding day, cameras in-hand. I grew up in Tulsa and I always welcome to the chance to return and photograph there, especially when it's a wedding. And their celebration was an incredibly fun way to spend a Saturday. Elizabeth injected a lot her own personality into the details of the wedding. Being a die hard Hanson fan, she made sure that her church's hand bell choir performed a rendition of their hit song "mmmbop" during the ceremony. Hanson also showed up again in the beer selection for the reception guests with their signature brew, "mmmhops". And as much as Elizabeth wanted her beloved cat Oliver to attend the wedding, she opted for a life-sized cardboard likeness of him instead. And of course, that was awesome. Here's a few images from their day, along with our sincerest well-wishes and congratulations. Enjoy.
Jesse & Mabre | Northwest Arkansas Wedding Photography
Say hello to Jesse and Mabre. Arizona is where they call home but since Mabre is an Arkansas native, they opted to get married here and planned their wedding long distance. The ceremony was held at The Garden Room in downtown Fayetteville and consisted of close friends, family, an incredibly talented band, a variety of homemade pies, lots of great stories and well-wishes and of course, dancing. There were two firsts that came with this particular wedding. It was the first time I've ever shot a wedding after being involved in a car wreck the same day. (Yes, I'm fine and no, it wasn't the Novomobile). This was also the first wedding I've ever photographed where in mid father/daughter dance, the song abruptly switched to "Wobble" and the father/daughter followed suit with the corresponding dance moves. I have to say the latter was the more pleasant experience and overall, the wedding was one of my favorites to date. Here's a few images from the day. Enjoy.
Brandon & Lisa | Hot Springs Arkansas Wedding Photography
Yesterday, we featured a few bridal portraits of Lisa here on the blog. Today, we're excited to feature a few images from Lisa and Brandon's recent wedding ceremony. This beautiful ceremony took place on the banks of the beautiful Lake Ouachita and featured more handmade, DIY details than we've ever encountered at a wedding ceremony. The amount of carpentry and artistry the couple put into this day was seriously stunning. But of course, the real heart of a day like this is love and that was truly evident as Brandon tearfully watched Lisa walk down the aisle toward him. Our sincerest congratulations and well-wishes to these two on their adventures (and artsy projects) to come.
Lisa Siler | Northwest Arkansas Bridal Portraits
Today on the blog: Bridal portraits w/ the beautiful Lisa Siler. Enjoy :)
Nate & Courtney | Frisco Texas Wedding Photography
A few days ago, we were excited to share some images from Courtney's Bridal Session. And today, we're just as excited to share some images from her beautiful wedding day. Congratulations you two! Enjoy!
Courtney Roza | Frisco Texas Bridal Portraits
We've been posting about twins a lot lately. And so we thought it fitting to continue the trend with this beautiful bride who happens to be an identical twin. Meet Courtney Roza (now Boye). If she looks familiar, it's because we photographed her sister Kelsey last year. A few weeks before her wedding, I traveled to Texas for this shoot and I had a blast hanging out with Courtney and her family. Her brother even introduced me to the best little burger joint ever. This trip to Texas was made even more special by the fact that Courtney and her family shared stories and words of wisdom on raising to twins. As you probably know, this information has become ever more relevant to us in the past few days. We'll be posting photos of her wedding in the very near future. In the meantime, enjoy some of our favorite images from her bridal shoot.
A Premature Birthday Celebration
Say hello to the Thomas Twins. Pictured up top is Summer Joy Thomas and below, Weston Michael Thomas. We are so grateful for these two and for their (somewhat) smooth arrival into the world. The events leading up to their arrival however, have been less than smooth and at times, downright crazy. It's been a very stressful couple of weeks away from home but early Wednesday morning, the twins decided that it was time to enter the world and that was that.
Having spent a little over a week figuring how to do life in limbo and wondering if the kids were going to be born while I was away, I was anxious to...
June 2014 Update | What a week
To say that the last week has been crazy would be a drastic understatement. And yet, here we are with both babies still intact and growing in their womb. This past week, we managed to fit in a...
Kristen Thomas (aka Novo Girl) | Arkansas Maternity Photography
Say hello to Kristen Thomas. Many of you know her beautiful face from weddings over the years, where she would help photograph and also assist me. And if you’ve spent any time at all with her, you also know her sweet spirit, her contagious laugh and her absolute love for children. It’s probably good that she loves kids so much because she’s got two of them.
If you’ve been following our story at all, you know that last weekend, I rushed her to the hospital in the middle of the night because her water had broken prematurely. Right now, she’s on permanent bed rest until the twins get here. I’m so thankful we took a day last week to venture out into the great Arkansas outdoors and create some maternity photographs of her. She was a trooper the whole time and often ventured around against my wishes (typical).
Here are a few images from our treasured time together. Thank you again for all the love, the prayers and the support you have shown the two of us and our two kiddos. Pretty soon, they’ll be here!
