Vacation 2015
Our vacation was a healthy mix of quality time, rest and making sure the Thomas Twins didn't eat seashells or sand. After a week of restful bliss followed by a week of hard work and catching up, I'm finally getting around to posting some images from our time away. Enjoy!

'We’re all a little weird. And life is weird. And when we find someone
whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into
mutual weirdness and call it love.'
Red Barn Studio Live Sessions | The Crumbs
The Crumbs have been featured on a blog a few times now and today, we are pleased to present another Red Barn Studio Live Sessions collaboration featuring them. Here's a few behind the scenes photos along with their live performance. As always, thanks to Murray Williams, Brian Fittin and Jason Miller for their valued friendship and collaborative genius. Enjoy.
Sara George | Northwest Arkansas Highschool Senior
Say hello to Sara George. Even though she's only 16 years old, she recently completed here entire high school curriculum and is now ready to tackle college. To celebrate, we loaded up in the Novomobile, hit the road and created some senior portraits with her along the way. Here's a few of our favorites. Enjoy!
Drink Local | Northwest Arkansas Commercial Photography
It's no secret that Northwest Arkansas is home to some delicious craft beer. And in the upcoming issue of...
Ben & Ryan | Northwest Arkansas Wedding Photography
Congratulations and Best Wishes to Ben & Ryan. These two were married last Sunday at the beautiful Hunt Chapel and their reception at The Grand immediately followed. I had a wonderful time celebrating with them and today, I'm excited to share a few photos from their perfect day. Enjoy!
Matt & Bailey | Northwest Arkansas Engagement Photography
Say hello to Bailey, her fiancé Matt and their dog, Jackson. I recently had the privilege of spending the evening with them, traversing the Arkansas countryside and creating some engagement photos along the way. Matt is from the UK and he moved to US as the result of a job transfer. He met Bailey through an early morning gym routine. (Matt says that she motivated him to continue to get up early to work out). Although their jobs keep them both very busy, they enjoy spending time together relaxing in the downtown Bentonville area or at home watching Fútbol (Soccer, for all you American blokes). Here's a few images from our evening together. Cheerio!
Max & Lydia | Northwest Arkansas Wedding Photography
Thanks so much to Max and Lydia for having us at their beautiful wedding this past weekend. I've had the privilege of getting to know these two over the past few years. They are genuinely kind, thoughtful, active in their community and passionate about each other. On their wedding day, Max sent Lydia flowers and he made sure that she received them BEFORE she put on her make up because he knew she would cry. I find that to be a thoughtful and heartfelt gesture that shows he knows her and genuinely cares about her. As a wedding photographer, you are always learning from your experiences at weddings. Many of those experiences result in technical lessons about camera gear, lighting, and time management. But the greatest lessons come from couples like Max and Lydia. These lessons have nothing to do with camera equipment but they have everything to do with true love and what it looks like in real life. Congratulations you two.
The Crumbs | Live & Warming Up in the Green Room
A few weeks back, The Crumbs were slated to play at a local event and they opted to have a few of their new songs recorded during the backstage rehearsal. Here's one of my favorites. Enjoy!
The Thomas Twins | Happy Birthday
Today, I'm taking the day off to celebrate two very important birthdays...
Andrew & Jillian | Northwest Arkansas Engagement Photography
Say hello to Andrew and Jillian. They love their cats but they love each other even more. I recently had the opportunity to drive them around for some engagement photos while also attempting to dodge the thunderstorms and keep them dry. Of course, that didn't QUITE happen but oh well. Here are a few of my favorite images from the evening. Enjoy!
James & Faye | Northwest Arkansas Engagement Photography
Say hello to James and Faye. I've worked with Faye on a number of commercial shoots and she is one of the nicest, most pleasant people to work with. It was a lot of fun meeting her fiancé, James and creating some engagement photos for them. Here's a few of my favorites. Enjoy!
Katey Brown | Northwest Arkansas Bridal Portraits
Today on the blog, we're showing off a few of our favorite images from Katey in her beautiful wedding dress. Enjoy!
Jordan & Katey | Northwest Arkansas Wedding Photography
Our sincerest congratulations and well wishes go out to our good friends and newlyweds, Jordan & Katey Barron. Aside from a few uninvited rain clouds and a few of the guests feeding their dog "ZuZu" some of the delicious food from the reception buffet, their wedding day was low key, enjoyable and altogether, memorable. Shawna Young of Young Designs was on-site to coordinate the event and she did a fantastic job with all of the details. Also, special thanks to my good friend and former intern, Alex (I still can't spell his last name and you probably can't either) for shooting with me. Here are a few images from the day. Happy Monday everyone.
The Dennis Family | Northwest Arkansas Family Photography
Say hello to the Dennis Family. Pictured above is Mike, Heidi and Eli. Heidi and I are college buddies and Mike and I are bicycling buddies. I had the privilege of photographing their wedding years ago and just recently, I had the opportunity to hang out with them again and photograph them as a family of three (plus the grandparents). Here's a few of my favorite images from the evening. Enjoy.
Nathan & Kristin | Northwest Arkansas Wedding Photography
It was a beautiful Saturday for a wedding last weekend, and I was super excited and honored to spend it hanging out and celebrating with Nathan and Kristin. Documenting a wedding day gives you the opportunity to see everything first hand and I was amazed at how genuine and loving Nathan and Kristin were to everyone who came to celebrate with them (including me). The wedding day was designed and coordinated by the incredibly talented JLK | Weddings and they made sure that everything was beautiful and relaxed. Here are a few images from the day. My sincerest congratulations and well-wishes to Nathan and Kristin on a beautiful day and a beautiful beginning.
Jon & Kayla | Northwest Arkansas Maternity Photography
Say hello to Jon, Kayla and Laurel June Knox. The Knox's are incredibly close friends of myself and my family. They live on our street, they have keys to our house and given the circumstances surrounding the past year of our lives, they have looked after our house, our yard and our dog WAY too many times to count. In just a few short weeks, they will welcome their daughter, Laurel June Knox into the world and for that, we are super excited and very grateful. Here's a few images of our dear friends in this wonderful stage of life. Enjoy!
Dallas & Madison | Northwest Arkansas Engagement Photography
Say hello to Dallas and Madison, a super sweet couple I recently got to hang out with. Although they both live in North Carolina, Madison is an NWA local and since her September wedding is here, she wanted her engagement pictures to be here as well. And unlike some of the recent days we've had, this day turned out to be pleasant with partly cloudy skies and mild, almost humidity-free temperatures. Here's a few of my images from the evening. Happy Monday!
John & Stacy | Northwest Arkansas Engagement Photography
Say hello to John and Stacy. The lady behind them might have been gasping at the day's forecast which called for nonstop, heavy rain. But John and Stacy were undeterred by the forecast and so was I. So I grabbed my rain jacket and they grabbed lots of extra clothes and we drove to where my doppler radar showed lighter rain and gaps in between the storms. The time in the car gave us a chance to get to know each other better and discuss important things like reggae music and who serves the best local coffee. And the weather gave us enough rain to make the whole day an adventure but not so much that creating images was an impossible task. Here's a few of my favorites. Enjoy!
Red Barn Studio Live Sessions | Stephen Neeper & The Wild Hearts
It's been a few weeks since we've had the opportunity to collaborate with Red Barn Studio Live Sessions. But recently, we were able to remedy that and hang out with the usual gang (Murray Williams, Brian Fittin, Michael Drager and Jason Miller). And as usual, we were all treated to an earful of awesomeness thanks to Stephen Neeper & The Wild Hearts. Here's a few behind-the-scenes images along with the final music video. Enjoy!
