Lately, I've been dreaming of a photography road trip to some abandoned destinations. My recent schedule has afforded me many bike rides but no real time to travel and shoot. And while I plan to remedy that in the next few weeks, nothing I find will probably compare to the town of Picher Oklahoma. I shared some of my images here on the blog a few years back but this week, I happened to be revisiting them and I decided to make a quick little slideshow with some of my favorite images. Say hello to a few of the talented mountain bikers and trail builders in our area, all riding at The Railyard Bike Park in Downtown Rogers and all wearing the super-awesome clothing creations from Fayettechill Clothing Company. I had the opportunity to hang out with this fun crew a few weeks back and today, I'm excited to share a few of my favorite images from the shoot. Attention Rock Climbers: Don't throw your old climbing ropes away! Instead, hand them over to the guys at Buddha Rugs and they'll turn your old, tired and probably unsafe to climb on any longer rope into a beautiful and functional rug. I had the privilege of hanging out with Jason and Brian, the guys behind Buddha rugs a few weekends back for Arkansas Wild Magazine. It was an eye opening experience, both from the education I received about the sport of rock climbing and from seeing the engineering and craftsmanship with which these two design and construct their rugs. What started as a small hobby and a way to give new life to retired climbing rope has turned into a small business that seems to be growing. I'm not going to lie, it's really awesome when you're hired to go hiking and shoot pictures of the experience. Such was the case this week when I traveled to Fairfield Bay Arkansas to capture the experience of hiking Sugar Loaf Mountain. Here are a few of my favorite images from the hike. Enjoy.

They've recently relocated from Chicago to Northwest Arkansas and although their September wedding will be back in Chicago (excited to be photographing that too!), they wanted their engagement photos to be in Arkansas. It's easy to see why Saturday afternoon with Brad and Bonnie was the complete opposite of boring. These two are adventurous, kind hearted and passionate about loving each other and the world around them. We finally hit the road for their engagement photos on Saturday afternoon after rescheduling twice due to rain and today, I'm sharing a few of my favorites. Happy Monday!

Say hello to Cody and Abigail. They're getting married this year and this past Saturday, we hit the road for their engagement photos. "I don't want a lot of pictures where we're really close and breathing on each other", is what Cody told me when we met. This comment was of course, followed by much laughter as Abigail protested that she wanted some "romantic" photographs. We also managed to get sort of lost on a back country road but Abigail and her Verizon phone navigated us back to the highway fairly quickly. Here's a few of my favorite images from the afternoon. The weather has been pretty iffy lately and I've had to reschedule multiple times for some people. But Sean and Lindsey picked a gorgeous day to be out and about. I recently had the opportunity to hang out with Roman and Kailey, who were in town for the holidays. Aside from a stop for coffee at Puritan Brew Company, we braved the cold weather together and adventured around Fayetteville for their engagement photos. We were joined by our trusty wedding planner, Melissa from Sweet Tea Designs and much laughter and fun was had by all. Here's a few of my favorite images from the day. Enjoy. 

There's a lot of great ways to start out the year but getting married is quite possibly one of the best. For these two childhood friends/sweethearts, it was a joyous celebration and a new beginning in their well-established relationship. Their celebration was shared by friends and family at the Victory Theater in historic downtown Rogers and it was a wonderful way to start the new year. Today on the blog, I'm excited to be sharing images from this year's commercial photography projects. I have developed a strong love for telling stories of products, people, environments and companies through imagery and over the years, I've had the privilege of working on some very interesting projects. 2015 was certainly no exception. Many many thanks to the clients who made these images possible. 

Today, I'm excited to share some wedding images from 2015. I've been photographing weddings going on 10 years now and every wedding is different because every couple is different. I truly believe that I've had the privilege of getting to know some of the best couples on earth and for me, that makes photographing weddings a continued inspiration and adventure. Many thanks to you all and best wishes in the years to come.

I'll be honest...I'm horrible at designing, printing, addressing and mailing actual Christmas Cards. My real talents lie in designing a holiday graphic, saving it as a jpg and sharing it on my blog and social media outlets. Regardless, I'm so thankful for you all and I hope you all have a wonderful Holiday time filled with family, friends, memories and rest. Cheers Everyone. 

Over the years, my work has taken me to a variety of locations around the country and around the world. But in all honesty, Arkansas still has some of the most beautiful scenery I've ever laid my eyes or my camera lenses on. I recently, I had the opportunity to travel to a scenic part of the state on the White River to photograph a guided fishing / lunch adventure courtesy of Gaston's White River Resort and Arkansas Wild Magazine. This past Saturday, I had the honor and privilege of celebrating with Bob and Kenzie as they exchanged their handwritten vows and pledged their lives to one another. In true Arkansas weather fashion, it was cloudy and almost 70 degrees in December making outdoor pictures not only bearable, but enjoyable. This was my final wedding for 2015 and as I look back on the year, I am truly humbled to have been a part of so many celebrations and I sincerely treasure the friendships I've made along the way. 2016 is going to be pretty darn cool but 2015, you were truly a blast.

Since 1972, they've been helping people experience the joy and the adventure of cycling. They started out in Fayetteville and in 2013, opened their second location in Rogers. I was hired to produce an updated website for them and of course, that meant spending some time photographing their locations as well.
