Beloved by many and known all over the country, Ozark Beer Company is somewhat of an institution in the craft beer world. From their humble beginnings in a nondescript warehouse on 1st street, to their current location in the heart of Downtown Rogers, Ozark Beer has been turning out some of the state’s (and the nation’s) most interesting and most delicious beer. They are known for their famous bourbon aged stouts, their ability to collaborate with local businesses and institutions to produce specialty beers based on everything from locally grown and available produce to art installations and music festivals. Their taproom was a busy gathering place for regulars, Downtown Rogers Farmer’s Market goers, weekend shoppers, cyclists from Lake Atalanta and curious out-of-towners who were undoubtedly directed there by some article they read in a publication.

Recently affected by the Covid 19 Pandemic, they like many others, have been forced to shut down their tap room and scale back their staff. But they are still hard at work, producing their beer for store distribution and for drive thru pickup at their facility. Next time you’re forced to go the store, please consider supporting them, either by looking for their products on the store shelves or picking up some 6 packs at the brewery.

If you’ve ever perused our instagram feed for strolled by our studio windows, you know that there are a good many older cameras that occupy our space. Some sit prominently in the window shelves while others dot the interior landscape of the studio itself. Some of them actually function and some of them stopped working decades ago but still look pretty. The history of our craft is a fascinating one and part of discovering and learning and honoring that history has been the accumulation and presentation of old cameras in the studio space. It wasn’t until recently though, that we decided to participate in the #throwbackthursday hashtag phenomenon and honor one camera from the collection every week, along with some detailed photographs and a brief history. If you follow our instagram, you’ve probably seen these posts but we thought it important to share a few here on the blog as well. Cheers everyone.

Back in August we got to do a few headshots for the Northwest Arkansas Young Professionals Summit. The Summit, in it’s 4th year, provides young (and old) professionals with personal, philanthropic and professional tools so they can learn to better serve their community. Here I met Dr. Todd Jenkins or Bowtie Todd. He is the Chair of the NWA Young Professionals Summit and founder and CEO of Bowtie Leadership. Bowtie Todd needed a new headshot and some additional content so during one of the summits break-out sessions we moved some lights around and threw a few bowties. With the holidaze and all the surrounding hubbub, it’s easy for us to slack on sharing our work at the end of one year and the beginning of another. So today, we’re sharing a few images from late last year and early this year. Here’s hoping your new year is off to a great start. Cheers everyone.
