We recently had the opportunity to do some editorial images for an article on Mindi Dearing of the Beaver Water District. Here’s a few of our favorites. The District works with Bentonville, Fayetteville, Springdale and Rogers and their customers to bring safe, clean drinking water, sourced from Beaver Lake, to homes and businesses throughout Northwest Arkansas. Today on the blog: Some recent work with Experience Fayetteville creating imagery that showcases the unique, outdoorsy, bike-friendly and dog-friendly culture of Fayetteville.

Rogers is our home and it has been for some time. Every year, the annual Frisco Festival brings hundreds of people to our beloved downtown and this year was no different. But things are changing for the better and for the second year in a row, Visit Rogers has added to the Frisco Festival experience by providing unique experiences and events to showcase some of the people and products that make our town unique. And as always, we loved the chance to walk around photograph it all. Cheers.

It’s a new school year. And with a beautiful new campus, new faculty and students and a new website from Adair Creative on the horizon, the fine folks at Thaden School needed some updated imagery to use. We spent a few days exploring the new campus and hanging out with the faculty and students. Go Barnstormers!

Today on the blog, we’re sharing a recap of the Red Star Enduro Race. This particular event was held on the beautiful and secluded trails of the Buffalo Headwaters. These are without a doubt, some of the most beautiful and remote trails in the state. As you might imagine, there were some logistical challenges but we overcame them unscathed, minus the loss of a walkie talkie. Enjoy the photos and recap video below. Cheers!

When I first visited Bar Cleeta, it was before they were officially open and we focused on photographing their delicious food and drinks. A few weeks back, I paid another visit to focus on the finished space. Of course there was also food and drink involved but this time, it went straight to my tummy. Day 1 of the Eureka Springs Enduro - part of the Enduro World Series

Congratulations to writers Lacey Thacker and Sara Mitchell on the launch of their brand new book, Rooted: Central Arkansas Farm & Table. We’ve had the honor and privilege for working with them along with Etalia Press on this project, meeting the wonderful farmers, chefs and creatives, hearing about their stories and their contributions, and photographing them for this book. The resulting publication was released last week to the public via a special party held (in true Rooted fashion), at an outdoor garden. The summer is heating up and it’s not just because of that dank Arkansas humidity. The Arkansas Enduro Series is in full swing and we were at the first race of the season, capturing content. First up on the blog is a short video recap of the race. Enjoy.

Today on the blog: Say hello to a few of the men and women who proudly serve our wonderful city by working for Rogers Water Utilities. Clean water is a vital part of our lives and the men and women pictured here work very hard, oftentimes behind the scenes, to make sure our city has the highest quality water and the best infrastructure for delivering that water. Drink up!

Another recent project from this month was spending some quality time with the talented and ambitious students from the University of Arkansas Honors College. It never ceases to amaze me the level of thinking and dedication these students apply to their lives and to their learning. I spent the day hearing about how they are trying to make the world a better place while also photographing them in their natural environments. It’s days like this that remind me why I love my job so much.

Hello and Happy (almost) Summer time. As you may or may not know, I (Philip) now have a business partner/collaborator/additional photographer/videographer/website & social media contributor who’s name is Jared. For the past few weeks, we’ve been hard at work creating content and figuring out the routine of running a business together. And that has left us both too busy to share recent work here on the blog. Today, I’m going to begin to remedy that by sharing a few images from a recent photoshoot in Bentonville’s newest culinary establishment, Bar Cleeta.

Unlike a traditional restaurant that serves entrees, Bar Cleeta serves small, shareable plates that pair well with their curated wine list and craft cocktails. As you might expect from a culinary establishment of this caliber, everything is beautifully presented and wonderfully delicious. Food photography is one of those seemingly simple processes that in reality, couldn’t be more intricate and oftentimes, difficult. Through photographing food, I have come to appreciate not only the art of making and cooking food, but also the art of making food look picture perfect on camera. Today’s blog post is from a couple of recent food shoots I worked on. One was for Ella’s Table, the delicious restaurant housed in Carnall Hall on the University of Arkansas campus. The other shoot was for the recipe section of a popular website. Both shoots involved deliciously presented food, one by the chef from Ella’s Table and the other, by my favorite food stylist Ashley Henderson. Happy Monday everyone.

Now open for business; The Foxtrail Distillery! We recently had the pleasure of attending and documenting the grand opening for Visit Rogers and of course, I had to sample the beverages too.
