Today on the blog: Recent editorial photography for Arkansas Wild Magazine. As it turned out, all three of the subjects to be photographed were available on the same day, so we scheduled the photoshoots accordingly. Read MoreOn a recent photoshoot, the inevitable happened; I dropped an expensive studio flash while I was handholding it to get a certain shot. I don’t know how or why, it just slipped out of my hand. These things happen in a photographer’s line of work and that’s why you (hopefully) have insurance. I do carry insurance and after some deliberation, some research and some “go with your gut instinct, I began the process of switching up my studio lighting setup from Profoto to Godox.

Portrait photography for us ranges from our typical commercial clients, to high school seniors and families (especially in the fall months). Today’s blog post is made up of University of Arkansas School of Art Faculty members, insurance brokers, lawyers, families, high school seniors, individuals featured in AY Magazine, investment firm associates, a couple celebrating their 25 year wedding anniversary and new associates for Marlon Blackwell Architects. Although most of the stuff we share through our social media channels is commercial work, we feel it is important to note that with regards to portrait photography, we love to work with families, high school seniors and other individuals as well.
