Drummond Family Racing | Northwest Arkansas Editorial Photography

If you've raced mountain bikes at all, you've probably heard of the Drummond Family. And if you've seen their names in the race results, chances are they were towards the top if not on it. That's because for this family, mountain biking is their sport. And when I say "sport", I mean that in the truest sense of the word. Everything from schedules, to nutrition, to daily exercise routine revolves around their chosen sport of mountain biking. What started out as a family activity quickly turned into a hobby and then, a passion. I was fortunate enough to spend a recent Saturday with them creating images for the upcoming issue of Bike Arkansas Magazine. Here's a few of my favorites. Enjoy.

EcoVet Furniture Company | Northwest Arkansas Graphic Design

I'm honored to be working with Murray Williams of Murdog Creative on a rebranding project for EcoVet Furniture Company. And today, I'm excited to share their new logo along with a few images that we created for their new site and marketing materials. EcoVet is local company that creates beautiful, handmade custom wood furniture. Unique to EcoVet's business structure is that they focus on hiring Veterans and teaching them the skills to build their beautiful products. EcoVet also focuses on being environmentally conscious with their business and they see to it that the majority of their building materials are reclaimed from decommissioned Walmart trailers. For more information on EcoVet Furniture Company, you can visit their website (currently under construction) or their Facebook Page.

Hydrate & Create | Northwest Arkansas Photography

Many photographers (myself included) have jumped on the Sam Hurd bandwagon by waving glass prisms in front of their lenses while creating images. And why not? It's unique, unexpected and given the right light, can produce some beautiful results. But on a recent video shoot, I discovered that you could create a similar effect by using a Nalgene Water Bottle.

Here are the details.

Say hello to Jonathan & Amber Perrodin. Together, they are Perrodin Supply Co. And for the record, they are also responsible for The Little Craft Show and #TeamSpringdale. They work out of a beautifully rough workspace that they call, "The Hatchery". Located in the downtown Springdale area, the Perrodins spend their days creating beautiful things. Amber has a background in Printmaking and also enjoys creating mixed media pieces while Jonathan enjoys woodworking and makes canvases and wooden decor.

I had the opportunity to hang out with Jonathan and Amber in their workspace, camera in-hand. Here are a few images from our morning together. Look for them in the upcoming issue of Arkansas Made Magazine.

Phat Tire Race Team | Northwest Arkansas Editorial Photography

Say hello to the Phat Tire Racing Team. But make it quick, because they'll be long gone before you get to the double ll's. These riders are the real deal. They train together, race together, hang out and even volunteer together. And while they train on all of the nearby trials, their home turf is the Slaughter Pen Mountain Bike trails of Bentonville Arkansas. This particular trail system is certified as a Silver Level Ride Center by the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA), making it a destination for out-of-towners and local riders alike. I recently had the opportunity to hang out with some of the riders that make up the Phat Tire Racing Team and I managed to get them to slow down enough for a few photos. Look for the complete story in the upcoming issue of Bike Arkansas Magazine. Cheers.

A few weeks ago, I had the distinct privilege of hanging out with them, camera in-hand. I can't put put this family into words because any words I use would not do them justice. But I love them, I really do. Here's a few images from our evening together. Enjoy.
