A long time ago…(well, maybe like two weeks ago)…in a laboratory far away…(actually, just in Fayetteville)…we were hired to create some photo and video content and we had a blast doing it.

On a normal day, Namida Lab develops testing methods using human tears to test for such things as breast cancer. During the pandemic however, they have shifted their focus to help with the influx of antibody tests that are being run in our area.

Today on the blog: Recent promotional and marketing imagery for the Rogers Arkansas location of Ruth’s Kris Steakhouse. While a majority of this shoot was focused on their outdoor patio, there were additional interior photos, some lifestyle, some food and some beverage images that the client requested. All in all, it was a fun day of creating and interacting with the wonderful and hospitable staff. If you haven’t been here, I would highly recommend it based on the staff alone, not to mention the delicious food and drink options. Cheers!

Say hello to the Honeycomb Kitchen Shop (again). Awhile back, we featured them on our blog as our dear friends and business neighbors. But we recently had the opportunity to create some content for an out-of-state client who wanted to feature them on a broader stage. We spent a few hours creating video and photo content of their shop and also interviewed shop owners, Melissa Turpin and Dana Smith with the video cameras rolling. These two are passionate about what they do and they continue to find new and innovative ways to make good products and cooking knowledge readily available to everyone. This goes without saying that when you have a choice in purchasing things for your home, your kitchen and your culinary adventures, please remember to shop small and especially, to shop here.

While it’s true that in 2006 Novo Studio started as Graphic Design AND Photography company, the years have shaped Novo Studio into a predominantly photography (and now, video) driven company. Today on the blog, new work for the University of Arkansas’s Center for Farms and Food. For this photoshoot, we visited a small family-run, certified organic farm atop a beautiful hill outside of Westfork Arkansas. The farm is simply known as the dH farm and they offer everything from fresh vegetables and flowers, to meats and eggs. Frank, the resident intern at the farm (as well as the rest of the family), took us on a tour of the grounds and introduced us to all the animals including their two dogs, Naomi (pictured above) and Rex, a little floppy-eared brute. Today on the blog: Recent work for Pacific Cycle. a division of Dorel Sports. We were recently hired to create some marketing images for a new Schwinn Road/Off-Road bicycle. They told us specifically that they wanted a cyclocross course feel along with mud splattering. We happily obliged by setting up a makeshift course and hiring a cyclist model to ride through all kinds of terrain, especially splish splashy stuff. It was a nice bonus that the night before the shoot, it actually rained so there was plenty of mud to splatter about in. In the end, we came away with some amazing images and very dirty bicycle, which we tried to clean up before returning (but I’m afraid we missed some spots).

Today on the blog, new work for the University of Arkansas’s Center for Farms and Food. For this photoshoot, we payed a visit to the farm at Red Barn in Bentonville, the first official residential community with an operational farm on the property. This model of living is known as an agrihood and Red Barn is the first of its kind in the state of Arkansas. Among its fresh food amenities, Red Barn also boasts beautiful living spaces, indoor/outdoor community gathering spaces and direct access to Bentonville’s nearby mountain biking trails. And of course, residents (and non-residents alike) have the wonderful, year-round, farm-to-table experience of knowing EXACTLY where their produce comes from. Today on the blog: Recent work for our good friends over at B-Unlimited. Years ago, we created some initial marketing images for them. But with a new location and a new website to match, it was time to do it all over again. Some notable things about this experience:

• They’re really nice people

• They’re REALLY good at Ping Pong

• They have their craft down to an artistic science

• When you’re wearing a mask on a photoshoot and you sneeze, it’s kind of a terrible experience.

It’s no secret that our beloved downtowns are filled with cool alleyways. And as our downtowns continue to grow and revitalize, the traffic in our alleyways is slowly increasing. Late last year, we collaborated with Downtown Rogers Inc. to turn one of our alleyways into an art gallery. The goal was to emphasize the fact that as our alleyways get more foot traffic, the need to keep them clean and safe and even make them more inviting is increasing. To make it even more personal, the art in the gallery was made up entirely of images created in that particular alleyway. Today, we’re sharing some here on the blog.

Happy Monday Everyone. Today on the blog, new work for the University of Arkansas’s Center for Farms and Food. For this photoshoot, we worked with Dripping Springs Garden, a certified organic farm located outside of Huntsville Arkansas. Over the course of the next few months, we’ll be continuing to work with CAFF to feature other local farms. Enjoy the photos and if you can, shop local. Dripping Springs, along with the other farms we’ll feature have a presence at our local Farmers Markets and also offer online ordering and delivery options. In many ways, Summer is the easiest season to eat healthier.

Happy Taco Tuesday everyone. Today on the blog, we’re sharing some semi-recent work from Yeyo’s new location in our very own Downtown Rogers. Earlier this year, we were hired to create some images for High Street Development’s work on the renovated 1907 building and the new Yeyo’s was among the spaces we spent some time in. The physical space achieves the sense of being small and neighborly while the abundance of natural light, tall ceilings and the realization that there is a mezzanine with additional seating above your head gives you the feeling that you have plenty of room to breathe and enjoy your meal.

And I promise….you will enjoy your meal.

Well, here we are in May of 2020, also known as Bike Month. Traditionally, we’ve celebrated with numerous social gatherings, group rides and even a large Square to Square event.
