We recently had the opportunity to create a promotional video highlighting and celebrating the collaborative effort between longtime local Harris Baking Company and privately held supermarket chain, HEB Stores Inc. For awhile now, Harris has been tasked with producing Sweet Hawaiian products under HEB’s “Aloha” name. Say hello to Mavis Wine Company, a brand new and already-popular business in Downtown Rogers. Owners Jeffery and Meghan opened up the small wine shop / bodega / eating establishment recently, after moving from Los Angeles. Coming from the film industry, the two decided they needed new experiences and a somewhat slower pace of life.

We recently interviewed them for a Go Downtown Rogers social media feature and we are also sharing the photos, along with the interview here on the blog. It’s a good read and their space photographs extremely well. But if you don’t make a trip down here to try their delicious food and wine in person, you will TRULY be missing out.

We are excited to finally share some recent work for Bauer Media Group and the launch of their new magazine by none other than Drew Barrymore. We were tasked with shooting some product images for a few of the ads in the publication. As always, it was a pleasure working with stylists Ashley Henderson and Jess Raney as well as Melissa from Bauer, who is one of the kindest people on the planet. Congrats everyone, well done!

A couple weeks ago, we had the unique opportunity to spend time with two of the world’s great professional cyclists, Rahsaan Bahati and Eliot Jackson. The two riders spent the week hanging out and enjoying our area’s various cycling amenities while also working with the our area’s local chapter of BikePOC and BikeNWA, to promote the process of creating intentional spaces for BIPOC and other marginalized peoples to explore cycling in Northwest Arkansas.

On a recent photoshoot, the inevitable happened; I dropped an expensive studio flash while I was handholding it to get a certain shot. I don’t know how or why, it just slipped out of my hand. These things happen in a photographer’s line of work and that’s why you (hopefully) have insurance. I do carry insurance and after some deliberation, some research and some “go with your gut instinct, I began the process of switching up my studio lighting setup from Profoto to Godox.
