Today on the blog: Recent work for Sand Goons USA, a lifestyle brand aimed at people who love sand sports. Sand Goons USA is the brain child of Nate Allen, an avid lover and participant in sand sports. And in case you can’t tell from the pictures, sand sports consists of driving things (usually dirt bikes, 4 wheelers and ATVS) really fast through desert sands. This photoshoot was another classic example of why commercial photography continues to be a favorite; Not only were we able to create some super fun content, but we were able to learn about and experience another sport and its surrounding culture.

Today on the blog, we sharing some recent portrait work. Portrait photography for us ranges from our typical commercial clients, to high school seniors and families (especially in the fall months). Today’s blog post is made up of University of Arkansas School of Art Faculty members, insurance brokers, lawyers, families, high school seniors, individuals featured in AY Magazine, investment firm associates, a couple celebrating their 25 year wedding anniversary and new associates for Marlon Blackwell Architects. Although most of the stuff we share through our social media channels is commercial work, we feel it is important to note that with regards to portrait photography, we love to work with families, high school seniors and other individuals as well.

Today on the blog: new work for The Center for Arkansas Farms and Food. For this feature, we paid a visit to Appel Farms. Located in Springdale Arkansas and Veteran owned and operated, Appel Farms offers a variety of produce as well as free range chicken eggs and pasture-raised pork. Today on the blog: Recent video work (and not-so-recent photography work) for Englander Mattress Company. President and CEO Mark Kinsley recently hired us to create an introduction video for an Englander website redesign. In setting up the blog post, I realized that there were also a few photos from awhile back that we created for Englander.

So…Double Whammy Wednesday.

Today on the blog: Recent work for Ella’s Table and their new fall menu options. Located at The Inn at Carnall Hall, Ella’s has been a Fayetteville and University of Arkansas institution for some time and as the world is figuring out how to navigate a worldwide pandemic, it was nice to see people once again enjoying the restaurant. As a food photographer, I have to try and remain an impartial judge when it comes to favorite dishes. But if you were to ask my opinion as a lowly patron and customer, I’d say that the pizza has literally “got it goin on”.

Today on the blog: Recent work for the engineering and architecture firm, Crafton Tull. Although they have offices in a few different surrounding states, their main headquarters is here in Rogers. And with an updated workspace layout and a few new employees, it was time for some updated photography. Along with the on-location portraits and interior space photos, we also managed to capture a few candid office photographs of the staff doing what they do.

Say hello to Push Plastic. Located right here in Northwest Arkansas, they are one of a few places in the country that creates and sells 3D printing material. And since they make the material, they of course offer 3D printing services. With a website revamp on the horizon, it was imperative that they have some updated images of their products and also, the processes and details of their business. I recently spent some time learning more about their business while also photographing and creating some motion content for the new site. It was nice to be reminded and also, to discover how far this technology has come and where it’s headed. The amount of things that you can 3D print these days is absolutely unreal. When I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they had started creating a 3D print of the Novo Logo, which they of course gifted me when I left. It looks great sitting on a shelf in the studio next to all the old cameras.

Raising a family in Arkansas has its outdoorsy perks. And the upcoming issue of Arkansas Wild Magazine highlights some of the ways families can embrace the great outdoors in our beautiful state. I recently met up with the publisher for Arkansas Wild, Brooke Wallace and her husband Thomas at their family cabin outside of Jasper to hang out and create some images for the feature. Thomas and Brooke love the outdoors and they make it a way of life to share that love with their two kids. With the fall weather approaching, this is the perfect time to get inspired to have more outdoor time with the ones you love. Happy Monday.

Today on the blog: Recent work from a photoshoot with Grace Manufacturing Company in Russellville, Arkansas. Grace Manufacturing uses state-of-the-art technology and mechanical systems to create high-precision metal and plastic parts for clients and customers in a wide range of industries, especially the medical field. This photoshoot was a perfect example of why commercial photography is always appealing. As a commercial photographer, you have the opportunity to be immersed into a world you know nothing about and to learn as you create. Thanks for reading and for perusing.

Healing your inner space with your physical space.

We recently worked with our good friends at Black Apple Hard Cider and Archetype to introduce an educational initiative called Vote Safe Arkansas. The initiative is aimed at educating the Arkansas public about the sanitary features and procedures that will be in place at local voting locations in order to ensure a safe and smooth voting process. If you’ve ever longed to listen to a podcast about the mattress industry, look no further than the Dos Marcos Mattress Podcast. The reason you shouldn’t look any further is in fact, because they have the monopoly on mattress podcasts. In these strange and uncertain times, show hosts Mark Kinsley and Mark Quinn (hence the name dos Marcos) decided to write a book about marketing in their industry as well as some of their widely used and most successful marketing practices.

To balance their information and their professional side, “Kinsley” and “Quinn” (we resorted to calling them by their last names on the shoot for obvious reasons) let fly their personalities on the podcast, making it a fun and entertaining listen even if you don’t know or care about mattresses or marketing. We’ve worked with Kinsley on a number of projects ranging from his brand Kippo to his involvement with Englander Mattress Company. The ideas for this photoshoot were simple….just have fun and come up with some scenes and things to do where the guys could just be silly, goof off and visually capture their personalities.

This portion of the shoot was conducted in a slow, safe and controlled manner in order to compensate for the lack of bicycle helmets. Under all other normal cycling circumstances, we do practice and preach the use of helmets as a mandatory safety measure
