We recently had the opportunity to hang out with the fine folks from the Bentonville Water Utilities Department, thanks to a chance meeting with one of the higher-ups at a recent Vanarky in the Ozarks Event. Before long, we had a plan to meet for a day of photography + water utilities education. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again every time it’s relevant; One of the best parts of this job is learning about other people’s line of work. And for a major city’s water utilities department, there’s a lot to experience. And after a full day of photographing different scenarios, tools and departments, we came away with a library of images that clearly and thoroughly showcases many of the water utilities day-to-day responsibilities in visual form. Today on the blog: A compilation of recent commercial headshots and professional portraits of some of the best people in our little corner of the state. Our headshot and portrait clients range from people featured in magazine articles, to real estate agents, to college professors, food and beverage workers, healthcare professionals, and even (as you’ll see below), professional cyclists. On average, 75 to 80 percent of the people we work with say “I hate having my picture taken.” And that’s ok, because we hate having our pictures taken too. No seriously, we do. But having that connection makes us empathetic towards the people we work with and we try to make the whole process as quick, as painless and as easy going as we can make it. Recently, we paid a visit to the newly opened Osage Park, located in Bentonville Arkansas. The Peel Compton Foundation tasked us with providing them some marketing photos, highlighting the beautiful natural settings as well as the stunning architecture designs and details of the spaces. Say hello to Mavis Wine Company, a brand new and already-popular business in Downtown Rogers. Owners Jeffery and Meghan opened up the small wine shop / bodega / eating establishment recently, after moving from Los Angeles. Coming from the film industry, the two decided they needed new experiences and a somewhat slower pace of life.

We recently interviewed them for a Go Downtown Rogers social media feature and we are also sharing the photos, along with the interview here on the blog.
