Sand Goons | Northwest Arkansas Commercial Photography
Today on the blog: Recent work for Sand Goons USA, a lifestyle brand aimed at people who love sand sports. Sand Goons USA is the brain child of Nate Allen, an avid lover and participant in sand sports. And in case you can’t tell from the pictures, sand sports consists of driving things (usually dirt bikes, 4 wheelers and ATVS) really fast through desert sands. This photoshoot was another classic example of why commercial photography continues to be a favorite; Not only were we able to create some super fun content, but we were able to learn about and experience another sport and its surrounding culture.
Cheers, Friends.
Champions of the Wild 2020 | Arkansas Commercial Photography
Today on the blog: Recent work for the latest issue of Arkansas Wild Magazine featuring selected individuals who have made a life and a career out of their love for the great Arkansas outdoors. Be sure to pick up a copy of the latest issue and as always, enjoy the photos.
Happy Thanksgiving.
No words I type here will be able to put into proper perspective, the amount of gratitude I have for my clients, my friends, my colleagues and for those of you who stumble onto my site in one way or another and appreciate my work. Here’s to hoping that you have ample time to eat too much, make memories with your families and most importantly, breathe.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Arkansas Wild Fish Edition | Arkansas Outdoors Photography
Last week, I spent some time at the legendary Gaston's White River Resort. In honor of their 60 year Anniversary, Arkansas Wild is doing a feature on the resort, it's history and it's owner/operator, Clint Gaston. Here's a few of my favorite images from the trip. Enjoy.

It's always a fun adventure creating images for Arkansas Wild Magazine. I am continually challenged as a photographer when working with them and I am grateful for all of the beautiful places in our state that they send me to. If you haven't already, check out their newest issues of Bike Arkansas and Paddle Arkansas. Hooray for the outdoors!
Habit Outdoors | Northwest Arkansas Product Photography
With all the rain we've had lately, I've had to reschedule a number of shoots. This not one of them. Cold, dreary, natural light is great if you need to photograph outdoor products by a campfire. And that's just what the fine folks at Evolt Creative and I did with these two products from Habit Outdoors. Available soon...as in right before Fall Hunting Season. Cheers!
Spring BRAKE | Northwest Arkansas Lifestyle Photography
Last week, I took a few days to detach from work and life. I camped out, slept in the truck, did some fishing (caught nothing), read some books by the river, played my guitar, sat by the fire, explored some scenic roads and made some photographs. By now, you all know that this sort of detachment is a part of my routine so I'll spare you the further dialogue and share some of my images from the week. Enjoy.

When one of your favorite clients hires you to go hike some pretty trails and take pictures along the way, you turn the assignment into a truck camping trip and take a few days to do it all. Such was the case earlier this year when I hit the road and journeyed from White Rock Mountain, to the Buffalo River Valley and then, onto Black Fork Mountain. Along the way, I slept in the back of my truck, cooked food on my my little Propane stove (minus the morning I splurged on a small town diner breakfast), and took some time to enjoy the scenery.
Off the Grid 2018 | Northwest Arkansas Lifestyle Photography
This week, the workload is light and the need for adventure is high. So I am taking some time to drive, camp, paddle, pedal, explore and most importantly, breathe. The cool thing about this blog is that I can schedule posts ahead of time, to appear in my absence and I have taken full advantage of that technology. Happy Spring Break everyone.
The Year In Rewind | Northwest Arkansas Commercial Photography
A heartfelt thank you to all of my friends and clients who made 2017 such a memorable year. This blog post contains some of my favorite commercial and lifestyle images from 2017. I couldn't pick just a few favorites, so there's a lot. Send me your medical bills for injuries related to excessive scrolling and Have a Happy New Year.
Arkansas Wild Fall 2017 | Northwest Arkansas Commercial Photography
I recently had the opportunity to hit the road and create a portrait series for the latest issue of Arkansas Wild Magazine. The upcoming issue, entitled Legends & Young Guns, profiles individuals in Arkansas who are extremely active and experienced in areas of outdoor sports and conservation. Today, I'm sharing the portrait series here on the blog. Enjoy!
Throwback Thursday / Go Outside
In lieu of being on the road all week, I'm sharing an image of the Buffalo River Valley from a few years back. I remember this day perfect, as I was alone and hiking through the woods on a cold, cloudy, and rather damp morning. Sometimes, those "less than perfect" conditions are in fact, the most conducive to a thought-provoking, inspiring and altogether, perfect day to be outside. Cheers to the weather in all seasons and to being outside regardless of it.
Novo Studio Video Short | Northwest Arkansas Photography
For years, I've had the idea in my head to make a video for Novo Studio. The idea for the video was inspired by a voicemail message I created years ago that, in my mind, accurately describes why I would not be answering my phone. And to have a video that started from the voicemail message and then, journeyed into my life as a photographer and as a person seemed to make sense. Plus, I could put some music to it and avoid the awkward challenge of talking about myself and my business.
But of course, life happened and with an incredibly busy season and twins, my idea remained an idea until I decided to take a creative sabbatical. When writing out my sabbatical bucket list, the creation of this video went right to the top and with the help of my dear friends and creative colleagues and my wife, I am happy to (FINALLY) share this video with you. Many thanks to Bryan Fittin, Jason Miller, Murray Williams and Kristen Thomas for making this whole thing possible. Enjoy.
Arkansas Wild Spring 2017 | Northwest Arkansas Commercial Photography
About the only time I don't mind getting up at 4am is if I'm heading into the great outdoors. Such was the case recently when myself and a few local rock climbers headed out to Horseshoe Canyon Ranch for some rock climbing and some photography for Arkansas Wild Magazine. Here's a few images from the day. Enjoy.
Habit Outdoors | Northwest Arkansas Lifestyle Photography
I recently had the opportunity to work with the fine folks at Evolt Creative and Habit Outdoors to create some imagery for a new website launch. However, I do use the term "work" very loosely, as this project should've been classified as more of an adventure than an actual job. For 2 days, myself and a videographer (Matt Jeppsen) were turned loose on a 1500 acre property on the King's River complete with ATV's, models and apparel. So you see? Adventure, not work :) Here's a few of the resulting images. Enjoy.

It's been an incredibly busy season for me and for that, I am both thankful and tired. Most of my posts as of late have been work related and although this one is as well, these images show more of the in-betweens and behind the scenes details from my life as of late. All images shot with an iPhone SE (because my iPhone 6plus met with an untimely death and truth be told, I was tired of the big phone anyway). Happy Monday and enjoy.
